How do I start using the Discover Mobile app to bank?
Is the Discover Mobile app secure?
Yes. The safety and security of your account is our top priority. Here are a few ways Discover helps protect your information:
- We use encryption technology to help prevent unauthorized access to your account.
- We proactively monitor your account for any suspicious activitiy.
- Discover, a division of Capital One, N.A., is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), which means your deposits are FDIC-insured up to the maximum allowed by law.
- We offer tools, like text and email alerts you can enroll in, to help you stay in the loop.

Are there any fees I need to pay to use the Discover Mobile app?
I know it probably wasn't the best idea, but I had some unexpected school expenses last year and I got the loan through Discover (where I also have a credit card). It's the kind where you don't have to pay until you graduate, so I hadn't been paying too much attention.
Now every now and then, I've started to get emails from them saying I have a message on my loan account. The problem is, I can't log in to my account. At first I thought it was a one-time glitch, but it's happened every time. When I try to reset the password says it has no record for my social security number or my birthday.
But the emails keep coming. I have to log in to contact customer service about my account, which I can't do. So what do I do? Pretend this never happened and walk away? Seems like a bad move. Has anyone had this happen before?
