1990 and I was obsessed with the first two Halloweentown movies. I also remember Under Wraps, Brink, Zenon 1 and 2, Smart House, The Thirteenth Year, Johnny Tsunami, Don’t Look Under the Bed, The Color of Friendship, Miracle in Lane 2, Phantom of the Megaplex, The Other Me, Quints, The Luck of the Irish, Motorcrossed, Jumping Ship, Cadet Kelly, Get a Clue, The Scream Team, True Confessions, The Ring of Endless Light, Gotta Kick It Up, The Even Stevens Movie, and then I pretty much stop recognizing them at 2004 outside of the last two Halloweentown movies. August 30, 2024Anyone else feel like Disney's live-action movies have seen a decline since the 2010s?
As with the entire industry itself, the middle just fell out. The margins weren't good enough for studios, and they felt like the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward.
They decided that there's more money to be made in big budget blockbusters, starting with Pirates in 2003. That period lasted from that time until about John Carter / Lone Ranger. The failure of those films coincided with the success of the live-action reboots of animated classics. That's been the story for the last 10 years and I don't see that changing until it stops working.

Which movies (by year) you remember watching as a kid and/or teen? (Watching it at the premier not needed, just watching it at disney channel at some point of childhood/teenagehood)
At which year you start to recognize and/or not recognize the movies?
I'll start:
1995
KID: 2002 = Cadet Kelly. 2003 = Cheetah Girls, Even Steven Movie, Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off. 2004 = Pixel Perfect, Stuck in the Suburbs. 2005 = Twitches, Kim Possible, Now You See it, Proud Family Movie. 2006 = High School Musical, Read it and Weep, Cheetah Girls 2, Wendy Wu, Cow Belles. 2007 = High School Musical, Jump In, Twitches 2. TEEN: 2008 = Camp Rock, Cheetah Girls 3. 2009 = Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie, Princess Protection Program. 2010 = Camp Rock 2, Starstruck, 16 Wishes. 2011 = Suite Life Movie, Phineas & Ferb Movie, Good Luck Charlie Movie.
The first movie I recognize is Cadet Kelly, all the other movies from the 2002 or before I can't remember them. The last year I saw a disney channel movie was 2011, after that I lost any interest in it, but I still am able to recognize the movies and/or actors/actress till 2014 with the last Zendaya's disney movie. After 2015 it's all new to me.

1.2005 2. 2010: 16 Wishes, Camp Rock 2. 2011: Everything except Sharpay’s. 2012: Everything except Girl Vs Monster. 2013-15: Seen all except bad hair day & invisible sister can remember them tho. 2016: Can remember them faintly watched neither tho. 2017: Descendants 2 3. I’ve seen The wowp movie and princess protection program both 2009 but I Just can’t remember if I was watching it in 2009 or 2010. I actually recognize a decent amount movies from the 2000s/late 90s that I watched reruns of while I was a kid. I began to stop watching DCOMs in 2016-17 when I entered middle school and don’t recognize any 2018 onwards except Descendants 3 which I have not seen
