r/Dinosaurs on Reddit: What are the must-see dinosaur documentaries?
October 25, 2023 -
I've been vaguely aware that over the last few years, there's been a bunch of dinosaur-related documentaries come out reflecting updated, current dinosaur science, and incorporating impressive visual effects.
What are the big titles I should be aware of? I'm getting the itch again, and I want to scratch it with some docs.
Also feel free to mention the outdated classics, like Walking with Dinosaurs.

The Walking With series is iconic. Start with that. Dinosaurs are covered in Walking With Dinosaurs, Allosaurus/The Ballad of Big Al (a spinoff of the Time of the Titans episode) and Chased by Dinosaurs (covering Argentina and Mongolia). Next I'd watch Dinosaur Planet (which had it's issues but a very good Cretaceous Mongolia episode) and When Dinosaurs Roamed America. Both of them are on the Discovery Essential Dinosaur Pack DVD set. Planet Dinosaur (not to be confused with Dinosaur Planet) covers the next 20 years of finds since Walking With Dinosaurs. March of the Dinosaurs follows a young Edmontosaurus and Troodon in Alaska. The first migrates south, and the second sticks winter out in the area. Finally, as already stated, many have been blown away by the recent two seasons of Prehistoric Planet, but unfortunately it's on Apple streaming only and I see no sign of it coming to either DVD or Blue Ray.

"Bizarre Dinosaurs" Removed From Disney+ - What's On Disney Plus
April 2, 2022 - Unlike most content removals, especially those within the US, titles are removed due to other contracts made before Disney purchased 20th Century Fox, National Geographic title removals are a little more complicated and no details on why this title was removed have been announced. Should the removal be an error, hopefully, the documentary is added back to Disney+ soon, as this has happened with some previous titles.

10 Best Dinosaur Documentaries Streaming Online
May 30, 2017 - In fact, dinosaur research is known for being controversial, in part because of the notorious “Bone Wars” era fraught with roughly-handled specimen, and in part because it’s really darn difficult to come to conclusions about animals that lived millions of years ago using only a fossil record — and a limited one, at that. With all of that said, there are still engaging and educational documentaries ...
