September 16, 2025 - Identify the most attractive sides of the cedar pieces for your patio furniture. Look for imperfections as well as the tone of the wood so it matches the other sides. Mark the ‘bad’ side of the board, then drill two pocket holes on each end of the aprons (B & C) on this side. While you’re at it, drill pocket holes into the ends of the stretchers (E). I made a table and potting bench/drink station based on some designs on Ana White that turned out great. I used cedar in lieu of pine and I made cast-in-place concrete tops for the them instead of using wood per plan.
