The best way to learn - let alone being strapped for cash, is the completely free tutorial and extensive docs on the Django website. make sure you know python relatively well, if you don’t, step back and learn that first, again a ton of free resources out there for it. if you don’t know how the web generally works (http, requests, responses, codes, etc) go learn that read the tutorials carefully- google any phrases you don’t understand. I’ve always wanted to give back to the community that helped me get started, and today I finally did it.
I just published a step-by-step Django tutorial in Google Docs that takes you from absolute zero all the way to deploying your first project on PythonAnywhere - completely free.
I still remember learning Django 9 years ago. I jumped into the official tutorial, but I didn’t understand much, it was literally the first thing I tried to do in college after learning Python 😅. It was confusing, and I had no idea what was going on.
