April 2, 2025Where are the weird world maps?
The campaign im currently making is based in a large series of tunnels underground stretching about 100 miles every way from Center. The "Old Underdark" was destroyed by the humans and dwarfs in the 1st Tunnels war after the Underdark tried to take over the Tunnels. Along with this there are large cave networks that near ubiquitously penetrate the world being home for kobolds, goblins, and other monsters. The reason they are underground is that the surface was burned away by hellfire and wild magic long ago for reasons that party dosent yet know.

The Known World is a project I've been working on for over 10 years now. I've been writing a novel set in this world for about the same amount of time, and I have many more ideas, as I'm sure we all do. I have had the privilege to run a D&D campaign - now entering its 3rd year - which has allowed me to explore the lore with others and greatly expand my ideas. The world map is finally in a state where I feel fully happy with it, after many previous iterations.
