For Christmas, I received a BYOD 5G smartphone and have been using it on Cricket the past few weeks. Everything works great, except that I have not been able to connect to any 5G networks. Based on some research I did, it seems likely that the existing Sim card I have is too old to support 5G (7-8 years old). I have a relatively new Cricket Sim that a family member received when they upgraded their phone through Cricket (they kept their old sim when they transferred to the new phone). Is there anything I can do with this new Sim card to transfer my number over to it? Or should I contact Cricket support and request a new Sim card for my line? Would appreciate anybody's input here. Thanks!

this morning i went to cricket to buy a physical sim card for my iphone se 2nd gen
since last month when i tried buying a physical sim card for the phone they ended up putting in an esim which i did not want or know of at all but i didn't realize they did until later on when i accidentally ended up deleting it
while i was a cricket i asked if i could get a physical sim
but they ended up telling me that its not possible at all [even though the iphone se has a sim tray]
and that they dont offer physical sim card to those with esim enabled and that i had to purchase another esim for the phone to work. is this really true?
My mom is on our plan. She broke her phone and I'm replacing it as an upgrade through Cricket. It asked which line we were upgrading. Should that new phone come with a SIM card that works with her number already in it? Once it's here will I need to call and activate it or something? Thanks!
