Generally, a CAC is required for access to government buildings and computer networks. When a CAC is inserted into a smart card reader and the associated PIN has been entered, software in the reader uses standard Internet protocols to compare the information on the card's chip with data on a government server and either grant or deny access. So, it depends on your org policy, I suggest you confirm with your org IT admin.

Army 365 has partially implemented 'Flow 3', allowing users to access both Teams and Outlook via the browser.

Navigate to https://dod.teams.microsoft.us/ or https://webmail.apps.mil/mail/ and sign in with a CAC.

You can also reach the Army 365 SharePoint sites, once those are activated.

Note: There are restrictions that include not being able to download files, however you can work in files using the cloud applications.
