So I am a MILS librarian who has been working in a small library for the last ten years. While my job description is Technical Librarian, I’m also the ILL Librarian, in charge of adult programming, the main cataloger, and in charge of collection development for the adult fiction, adult graphic novels, adult fiction and nonfiction audiobooks, large print fiction and nonfiction, young adult fiction, young adult nonfiction, young graphic novels, young adult fiction and nonfiction audiobooks, and in charge of series development and management (a fancy way of saying I put stickers on the books to put them in series order, and put the series name and number in the spine label area of records so the floor staff can find them). At the beginning of March I also took on the periodicals just in time for Amazon to cancel their physical magazine subscription services. Since I am juggling so many things and am so new to the serial side of things I was wondering if anyone could recommend some physical magazine subscription services? Like I said, we are a small library and only have about 40 magazines so I don’t need anything big or expensive. Any advice is appreciated!
