Hey guys I was just wondering something. Maybe this is a suggestion actually. Does any of the Radeon or AMD software check your Chipset driver version and recommend updates? Seems like an important thing that should be implemented somewhere.

No, it doesn't. We cannot presume the Radeon card is being used with an AMD motherboard, and there are territories that may have bandwidth limitations to which an unused bundled chipset driver may be an onerous burden. For these reasons, the chipset and GPU drivers are distinct and separate packages. However: there's rarely a need to update your chipset driver. If everything is working fine, don't bother. If there is a worthwhile update for a broad slice of people, we'll tell ya.

I recently updated to 25H2 version of Win 11 as I was getting driver timeout issues with my 9070XT, and many people said 24/25H2 fixes the issue. I haven't had the issue return yet which is great, but I noticed my drivers are now slightly outdated. In the past I used to have an update button in the top right, but it seems to be missing now.
When clicking 'Driver & Software' I just end up on the system page:

Do I need to manually check the AMD website now to look for new drivers? I would much rather have the app notify me and update it from within the software, or am I being stupid and missing something?
Update: Managed to fix this by uninstalling my drivers with DDU as well as Adrenalin, then re-installing a new version. The button has returned!

Worth adding that the tick box option is buried in a drop down that doesn't really look like a drop down! I missed this a couple of times. Not sure if that's intentional or just poor UX (probably the latter) but it doesn't help. For those of you who are pointlessly commenting that AMD adrenaline 'works fine' for them, I was having loads of issues with FPS and choppiness until I removed AMD adrenaline software.

April 27, 2025 - I've always used the latest chipset drivers directly from AMD. My motherboard manufacturer (Gigabyte) hasn't updated the chipset drivers they offer for more than a year. Maybe sticking with the latest chipset driver from Gigabyte would have been a good idea, but I've suffered no issues so far.

It only has the option to "manage" updates. I can't find anything pertaining to a manual check. I get that AMD wants to simplify things, but I think denying us the ability to manually check for updates is a bit too far.

Uninstall the AMD Update manager through add/remove programs. Then you can use the Adrenalin Update button to update drivers. Don't ask why. It's stupid, I know. AMD wanted to make chipset drivers and all to be more easily updated I guess or something. The AMD Update manager is bad, because you can't always even get the newest drivers with it even if the driver would be the newest WHQL...

Same issue here. RX6700XT - my driver is from June2025 - no way that this is still the current version. And no matter what i do i can't update it in any way, shape or form. I expected there'd be an update for BL4
