Hello, I live is San diego and im looking to get a new Acoustic guitar. The only thing i really have around me and that im aware of is guitar center. The people at my local guitar center are salty pricks and i dont want to give my money to those shleps. Is there places that anyone in the San Diego or Los Angeles area that has a grand selection? I obviously would like to play it before so i dont want to buy online. thanks for yalls help!!

maybe just do a google search in the area and look for a store that looks like its local.

A 30 second google search revealed that there’s a Sam Ash retail store in San Diego. They are a large online chain known for good customer service. Also looks like Mark’s Guitar Exchange and Guitars San Diego have good reviews. Guitars San Diego seems to specialize in Acoustic guitars.

On a related note, I've been looking around for non-guitar-specific music shops. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it. I know there's a Guitar Center in La Mesa (not sure if Guitar Center is terrible.... I play a lot of instruments, but not guitar, so I've never been). Also, the Best Buy in Chula Vista has a musical instruments section in the back with a ton of guitars, keyboards, and electric drum kits. Basically, they seem to have a good selection of instruments that need to be plugged in.
