I’ve read in a few areas that Madame Morrible had involuntarily killed Nessa through the creation of the cyclone. Is it implied somewhere that the house falling in Munchkin land would just cause Elphaba to go and check on Nessa? Or was the intent to kill her in order to lure Elphaba out of hiding? My interpretation from the musical was her intent was murder. Thoughts?

well morrible and the wizard were trying to figure out a way to capture elphaba and that’s when glinda said ‘user her sister. spread a rumour.’ but morrible knew that a rumour wouldn’t do it because elphie is too clever so i think she did intend on killing nessa but to get elphie out of hiding too

Hard to say if Morrible’s powers include launching a whole house to the exact coordinates of a person, but I think that can’t be a coincidence that they were plotting to do something to Nessa and they immediately dropped a house on her.

December 1, 2024Glinda and Nessarose’s Demise
This is acting like Nessarose has no autonomy whatsoever. Galinda acted selfishly in a dumb teenage moment to get a boy to leave her alone. It is not her fault the way Nessa reacted tk this and continued to cling to Boq years later. Nessa is truly the most evil of the three witches (she’s my fav character btw I think she’s fascinating), she’s a real political evil and she chooses to oppress the Munchkins to keep Boq from running away (in the musical). She knows Boq doesn’t love her. If she thought Boq loved her, she wouldn’t do so much to keep him. Also, at the train station, Galinda does try to tell her that Boq isn’t right for her but Nessa refuses to listen. These are choices she makes More on reddit.com
