I've started using PayPal's "pay in 3" service a lot, and I was just wondering, does it improve your credit score? I mean, it must technically be a loan, yes?
Just wondering if anyone has any kind of idea about the requirements to qualify for PayPal pay in three, I have had a PayPal account for years but didn't check in with the T&C's before trying to change my name on there, got my account indefinitely locked like an idiot and went through support. I got told I haven't actually been banned from the service and can just set up a new account so all is good I guess.
But obviously my account is brand new and I'm not currently eligible for pay in three, even with the same payment and credit information I've always had (which I kind of expected with it being a new account and all).
Just was wondering if anyone has any idea of what the circumstances around qualifying are as PayPal is very vague about what qualifies you other than that it's an automatic check and involves credit checks etc, did anyone here notice exactly when that option became available to them, after a certain amount of purchases or certain length of time the account had been active? I don't think it's credit so much as my bank details are all the same along with my identity so I have the same credit check.
