Just like the headline says, don't get passport pictures done at Walmart, if you're planning on traveling anytime soon. Passport office mentioned that they are rejecting most pictures done at Walmart due to their lack of professionalism when taking passport pictures. They Don't have the right equipment to fulfill the service such as lighting equipment. I just returned my pictures today as they were rejected.
Please note, If you don't have a rejection letter from the passport office, Walmart will not refund you. Therefore, if you send your application by mail, with the passport pictures, the passport office may reject your application by phone and are not obligated to send you a rejection letter. Rejection letters are only done in person.
Contacted Walmart and spoke to the manager and he did not entertain the idea of stopping the service until better equipment were procured. I mentioned that the passport office will reject 90% of the photos that are done by Walmart, and he did not entertain the idea whatsoever, and told me that he had to run 🤔
This is just a heads up, that your chances are slim.
Staples seem to be a bit higher in price, but worth it! I heard shoppers are good, and the photo shop that is located in the same building as the passport office.
Avoid Walmart if you're in a hurry to travel and don't mind getting your application rejected!
I have a digital photo that meets the photo requirements (white background, correct head placement, etc). I'm wondering if it would be sufficient to get the photo printed 6-at-a-time on a 4x6 print at Walmart, or if the resolution/quality wouldn't be good enough. I know it has to be 300dpi but can't find info on what resolution Walmart uses for 4x6 prints.
If not, any suggestions for places that would produce a photo with acceptable quality? (CVS? Staples?)

So I just got done arguing with folks that swore up and down that their 4x6 print that consisted of 6 2x2 photos, was not in fact sellable, at least by what my team lead told me. She said that if the photo can be used as a passport can't be sold unless it was taken in store by a photo lab associate.
I'm personally not too sure about the policy here, and was curious if anybody else knew. My team lead and our Fujifilm rep both said we're not allowed to sell but I couldn't find anything on OBW stating why I couldn't. Not could my coach, but he stood by what our lead said about them.
If anyone knows if that would be allowed, please let me know. I just sent them home without the photo with my name and a recommendation to call 1-800-walmart
Quick edit - they also said that it wasn't a passport, but that they were going to take it to the airport for them to reprint them as passports, in which I told them to just have their photos taken at the license branch if it's that big of a problem.
Mannnnnnnnn, can someone give me a detailed step by step on how to print my own passport photo at CVS or Walgreens. What I’ve seen suggested don’t workkkkkk. Like them passport apps find a way to charge you $15-$20 dollars which I’m trying to avoid. I tried making a collage on a app like someone suggested, doesn’t work. I can’t even get past this step on sizing the photo correctly to even see if the second step works where I add those photos to a 4x6. Like is this actually possible or naw.
Does Walmart take passport Photo in Stores? I know there is the digital print feature but I was hoping to get it taken by an associate.
At my store, we don't do passport photos, but I want to start it up.
How would I go about it?
Need to pick up something tomorrow and I’d prefer not to bring a physical passport because I don’t want to risk losing it or something. So can I take a picture of it and show it to the employee ?
We are using a Canon EOS rebel 10 for taking passport photos. The new software is way different than before. With no info on the changes. We have the big white background. I'm using the flash. It was still giving errors about picture quality. I've been doing this for a while, but now I'm questioning if I'm making picnic errors.
Walgreens and CVS charge $18 which is ridiculous for such a small picture. I have the pic on the phone, how can I print it for cheap?? It’s for Florida so Miami department.
