That's because most of the customer service happens at the store level. They also gave you a phone number to call if you wanted your problem resolved faster.
More on reddit.comOne of the Dollar General's near us. They let a couple of kids or random people that don't even work there stock the shelves and don't even put freezer stuff in the right spots. The employees are always on their phones. And no one's ever at the register.
My phone number is already in use and I can't create a DG account for the coupons... but I've never made a DG account. I did get this phone number relatively recently. There is no phone number, the live chat is always down "7AM-9Pm EST", there is no contact email. The link to a contact form for this problem on https://coupons.dollargeneral.com/help/ is dead.
Hi all. I’m a part time SA who has worked at my local DG for over a year now. I got a new SM recently (less than two months ago) and all of my coworkers already hate her. She lies to us about policy changes, is passive-aggressive/aggressive (depending on who you are), and is generally shady. She tries to send in other coworkers into the store while they’re off the clock to spy on whoever is working. She doesn’t want any of us to text her phone for any reason, we should only call her. The only logical reasons why she wouldn’t want us to text her are:
She doesn’t know how to text on a phone (unlikely, she’s young enough to know how to use a cellphone)
She doesn’t want to have any physical evidence of what she tells us because she knows that some of the things she’s doing are wrong
Last night, I worked with the brand new ASM. The new SM brought me into the office, and tried to interrogate me about a KH having to void an item for me while they were purchasing some items. My coworker had tried to mix and match on a deal that was going on. You could buy 2 bags of Doritos and get two free. They had the same deal for Cheetos, so my coworker assumed she could buy both types of chips and get the same deal. It didn’t work, so she voided the Cheetos off the transaction, put them back on the shelf, and grabbed another bag of Doritos. Then she paid for her items. You can see my coworker putting them back on the damn video. That night we had apparently also voided a transaction for almost 20 dollars, which is the reason why she was suspicious.
I absolutely do not appreciate being practically accused of stealing or helping another coworker steal. I’ve worked for DG for a god damn year. I don’t have a single write up, and no one has ever made me aware of any customer complaints against me. As far as I know, none of my coworkers have complained about me. I get my tasks done to the best of my ability. I only had one issue with one previous coworker, but that wasn’t work-related. I’m not going to tolerate whatever bullshit this manager is trying to pull. I’ve heard her saying some passive aggressive comments about me to customers when she thought I wasn’t around. She’s treating my other coworkers like shit, and two have already filed complaints against her. So, I’m just wondering if anyone could help me find the right place to file a formal complaint? Texting or calling the DM is completely useless. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
