Just FYI, the last patch changed it so that the teleporter no longer teleports resources during waves. My list: Teleporter: still top despite the above nerf. Eliminates travel time. Lets you deprioritize speed and carry capacity, which is good because you do need to buy a few upgrades for it (teleport resources, restore your tp, speed up resource teleport). Works the same at any depth or in maze maps. Condenser: Fantastic for making sure you have the water you need for your upgrades. The upgrade to have permanent overcharge is amazing (though expensive), and is the main reason I want this. Converter: The upgrade to convert one iron to five is great, even if it isn’t very fast. Even better is one water to four iron, if you have water to spend. Combined with a condenser, you have a powerful combination. Lift: What? Isn’t teleport better in every way? Yes, but lift has an underrated advantage: it doesn’t take a gadget slot. With a few upgrades, it will keep up pretty well with your mining, and the keeper speed upgrades are great. Would you rather have a lift and two more gadgets, or teleport and one? The fact this is even a question speaks volumes on how good teleport is. Stun Laser: Also doesn’t take a gadget slot, which is nice. The only gadget that directly helps in combat, but does want a number of upgrades to get good use from it. Drillbert: Takes some micromanagement, but passive drilling while you’re doing something else is super useful. Also upgrade hungry. Lovable lizard. Probe: can help a good deal in knowing where to dig, but the fact it doesn’t ping gadgets or relics is a huge negative for me. Decent when your drill is under leveled or at extreme depths on a big map or prestige run to maximize your digs. Blast Mining: Occasionally useful when you have a big clump of hard terrain, but it recharges too slowly (even upgraded) for me to find it too useful; I’d rather upgrade my drill and fill this slot with something else. Definitely don’t take it with teleport; you can’t teleport with a bomb. Answer from Euclidite on reddit.com

October 13, 2022 - The Prospecting Meter is a gadget, similar to the Probe. It is a meter in the player HUD that shows the distance to iron. When the meter is fully lit, you are next to that resource. ... The Converter helps to balance your inventory by offering resource conversions. ... Install a resource packer into your suit which can pack and compress multiple resources into a bundle, making them easier to transport. Install two hammers on the dome cupola that create intense shockwaves.

The Best Gadgets In Dome Keeper, Ranked
October 29, 2022 - This Gadget is ultimately more useful, even if the exchange rates aren’t great, since you can also upgrade it to multiply your Iron supply. Iron, while plentiful, is also used in almost every upgrade, so you can never have too much. Though the best way to get resources and explore the mine is to do a Minecraft-style strip mine - basically to dig straight down under the Dome and then branch to the left and right every two blocks - the second best and most immediate way to get resources is to just go where the Probe tells you.

Dome Keeper: All Secondary Gadgets, Ranked
November 26, 2022 - Of course, this Gadget does more than that, as its primary function is to allow the player to convert one resource for another over a span of time. But, the main reason people use it is for its Iron Multiplication upgrade that can seriously break the iron economy in a Relic Hunt run, giving a player essentially unlimited Dome repair, as just one example. While Dome Keeper does have three different material resources to keep track of, the actual most important resource in it is time.

Gadget tier list ? :: Dome Keeper General Discussions
Hi everyone, i've only played around 15h and beaten YAFI only twice so i'm probably not good enough to make that list, just wanted to share and hear your opinion on gadgets ! I'm doing this with relic mode in mind. S TIER : Teleporter - great from the start to save you travel time, upgrades are cheap and extremely useful, can teleport a ton of ressources from the depth of abyss without breaking a sweat (i've probably beaten YAFI only thanks to this) A Tier : Lift - Does pretty much the same job...

r/domekeeper on Reddit: What's Your Gadget Tier List?
September 4, 2022 -

Title says it all. In terms of best / favorite gadgets, what are yours?

For me, best gadget is the Teleporter, as it allows for VERY quick transportation, and its upgrades allow for rapid resource transportation. Throw it in a pile of iron just before a wave starts, teleport back, and passively collect as you defend.

I'm still testing the other gadgets, but right now the worst performing one for me is either the lift (a worse teleporter) or Drillbert (Adorable, I love him, but he takes SO MUCH INVESTMENT to be viable)

I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts!

Teleporter is best, and by a lot. Eliminating travel time is huge. I think stun laser is second. It can substantially reduce the damage you take. Probe is pretty good. It does tend to make you miss gadgets, but that's not a big deal when you're getting a ton of resources because of it. Lift is minorly useful and doesn't take up a basement space so it's harmless. Can be good to increase resource bandwidth a tad and help you get back to base faster. Drillbert is OK. He's a bit frustrating to work with. I would really prefer if there was an upgrade to make him drill down 3 or 4 blocks and turn around when hitting a wall, instead of just turning around. Blast mining has never helped me that much. It just doesn't eliminate enough blocks to be competitive. I was disappointed by the upgrade that makes it explode in a single direction because it didn't really go very far. It would be helpful if I could put it down without it exploding so that I could save it for the tougher walls. Maybe if it recharged once per wave it would be good. Condenser is only really useful for the permanent overcharge, but it sucks that it takes a basement space. Converter is a waste of space. The recipes are too expensive and the conversions are too slow.

  • Furnace: My core understanding is that basically you sacrifice some Iron in the hopes that it buys you time to get more Iron. The one time I used it though, I just felt that I'd rather be spending that Iron on other upgrades.

  • Mushroom Farm: Seems like a lot of micromanagement for small rewards. Maybe only good if you start with it?

  • Spire: A lot of investment to be protected from less than half of the enemies.

  • Underground Station: Unless you're using the Drones, you kind of have to go back up to the surface anyway? It seems this only really is useful if you have some other way of getting resources upwards

Dome Keeper: Springloaded Update Features Three New Gadgets and More
March 9, 2023 - The first is called spire - a defensive gadget that you can deploy outside of your dome to deal with monster projectiles. The second is the Autocannon. This behaves pretty much like the Stun Laser but it deals considerably more damage. The Autocannon is best deployed if you need more firepower against alien waves. And lastly, the Prospection Meter is a new mining gadget that shows you the distance to nearest resources.
