It depends on what you like IMO. Here's my thoughts 1- Artillery. I play with M&K so, either nailing shots or aiming results very easy to me, and i like the sounds it makes. 2- Laser. Cool sounds and it's the one I'm most used to, so i know when to upgrade and when to greed. But i do dislike it being so slow. 3- Sword. Ehhhh yes it lands quite a blow to any enemy but i find it super annoying to hit flying enemies 4- Tesla. It also deals a lot of damage but i just don't enjoy watching all the junk on screen and controlling it with wasd isn't exactly my favorite thing, but it's the coolest looking haha More on reddit.com

I've been having a surprisingly hard time on the guild assignments even after maxing out the available unlocks from relic hunt mode. Is there a particular trick to them I am not seeing?
SO far I've only succeeded in Showdown, which was relatively straightforward. Iron Contribution I think the most iron I've gotten to was 120. Upside down I just can't stay ahead of the waves even with assessor and drill. Maze is just frustrating.

For Iron Contribution, try getting the Resource Converter + its supplement Iron Refinement. It converts 1 iron into 8 iron. Upgrade it so it continuously produces without you having to check on it.

October 27, 2023 - With split projectiles path you can easily make the strip mining work. There are also upgrades that make the bundles stable for much longer, up to 6 minutes (I think), so you can literally send the bundles before battle, and they will get to your dome while you battle monsters.

I feel like artillery and sword are the best if you are skilled at aiming them. Tesla also destroys once upgraded enough but I failed a few times before I got comfortable on how abd when to build it up. Laser is easy but slow so it's definitely the beginner choice but I don't think it has the potential that the others have late game, maybe if you could control the lasers individually you could optimize its potential better. Personally I think I've done the best on a prestige run with the sword dome, it takes some getting used to but if you are good at aiming the ranged attack and maybe more importantly good at deflecting shots with the shield it's really strong. I find I have the easiest time with the lobbies since I can just point the sword right at incoming shots to avoid damage. I think the javelin is better than the long shot, I'm not sure on the big sword vs long sword, but the mobility of the long sword is definitely a plus for guarding and I find anything that gets in melee range dies quickly in any case
