Remove the passenger dome light cover by inserting a butter knife or flat blade screwdriver underneath either (left or right) side of the clear plastic cover and gently working it toward the front of the car; the front tabs will come loose and allow removal of the cover.

January 28, 2006 - It's easy to tell if the bulb is inserted wrong because it will not light if it's in the wrong way. I just held the bulb against the contacts briefly to see if it lit up. I only inserted the bulb into the socket after I determined the right orientation. Now I'm a little happier with my E. The dome light works again, and it doen't buzz anymore!
