I'm looking for a good mattress topper for my Saatva Luxury Firm. I can't have latex. I'm sleeping on a microcoil topper but it is just not enough pressure relief. I also sleep really hot so that's important to note. I'm considering the Saatva graphite memory foam topper or the Dormeo topper. Any recommendations welcome
Hopefully this information will help someone in the future who is considering buying a Dormeo topper, but maybe is worried that it's a scam "made for TV" product.
I have an expensive, Australian Peace Lily all-dunlop-latex 9" king mattress, that's firm on one side and medium on the other side. I don't know the ILD ratings off-hand, but we use the medium side and it's definitely accurately what I would call a "medium" firmness.
I'm 5'9" 185 and my hips are mattress-sensitive, and I'm a side-sleeper, and on just my mattress my hips were a little sore so I bought a soft Sleep On Latex 2" king (I think these are sold as more Talalay-like Dunlop) topper on the mattress.
My hips were still a little sore with the topper after a few weeks, so then I put a 3" "premium" Dormeo foam topper on top of the topper. It's nice, and it's comfortable, and well-made, but it too is definitely a "medium" firmness as well. I used it for a few weeks. It held up well, and hasn't sagged or had any issues.
It's just that now I had a medium latex mattress with a soft latex topper that really feels like a medium, with a medium foam topper on top of that. So medium/medium/medium isn't really getting me anywhere lol.
Due to the Dormeo being a medium, I still had hip soreness, just like I had on all $3k-worth of stuff I'd tried sleeping on thus far...
And so I ended buying and using a 2" super-soft Avacodo Talalay latex topper with the fancy $100 wool cover. That finally solved most, but not all of my hip-soreness.
Long story short, for anyone considering a Dormeo topper, it's nice, definitely not a scam junk "made for TV" topper. It's well-made, its cover is nice, it has had no structural issues. It's just medium firmness, so maybe not ideal for most side sleepers.
Anyhow, I just wanted to let you guys know in case you were considering buying one of the Dormeo $300 3" toppers.
I unfortunately am probably going to go back to the softest memory foam instead. That's the only time my hips don't hurt.
Is Foam Factory foam worth trying?

Is a well organized scam. Once they have your credit card it’s all over.
I bought a Sleep Number bed, which absorbs too much heat and feels hot
I am trying to solve this with a mattress topper of some sort.
I tried a 2 inch Sleep On Latex topper, which seems okay, but it seems to retain a fair bit of her still.
I a wondering if a Dormeo topper will feel as cool and retain as little heat as the spring mattresses I used to sleep on.
A little skeptical because it does contain foam, but seems like there are a lot more work hand compared to my Latex topper?
Also wondering how much heat dissipation I can even expect onto of a the Sleep Number mattress which seems to have foam and retain heat
Edit: This is the mattress, sheet and protector I have today.
Mattress: FlexTop King ILE 360 Smart Bed
Mattress protector: Total Protection Mattress Pad, FlexTop King
Sheets: True Temp Sheet Set,
Bought a tempurpedic ProBreeze Medium firm last year and loved the comfortability and support but HATED how how these things sleep.
Then returned that and tried a Casper Wave Hybrid Snow and honestly this mattress is overpriced crap - support is terrible.
Looking to return this one and am stuck between going traditional spring, Dormeo, or a Sealy Chill Trio.
Anyone have a Dormeo or a Sealy Chill Trio Delia and have anecdotes on heat retention and support?
I saw the link on Facebook and was wondering if it’s worth over $400 for a topper that I hope to put on top of a guest airbed.
We went mattress shopping today, 1 local latex mattress manufacturer and sleep country Canada. New to this whole rabbit hole of materials and shady tactics.
One of our top picks was a king sized Dormeo Three mattress which would be a floor model coming in from somewhere else for 2400$
It seems hard to find a lot of information or reviews on Dormeo, this also appears to be the newest version of the mattress. With it being 15 inches tall, and only on the Canadian market...
One common theme I saw in reviews was the foam cracking or sagging after 9 months to a year.
Any advice?
Does anyone know anything about this mattress topper? https://dormeo.com/pages/special-1
My spouse and I have different sleep surface needs. I want plush, he wants firm. Our tempur-pedic is too firm for me but the latex topper was too soft and made it hard for him to turn over. Looking for something that works for us both. I would love a sleep number but that is out of my price range.
Looking for feedback regarding the Dormeo mattress and a warranty claim. After only a few years there is noticeable dips(that you can only feel with your hands) and some minor cracking in the foam. Has anyone else had similar issues and been able to successfully file a warranty claim?
I've been deep in the mattress research hole after some shopping in Canada, and the one mattress that keeps sticking out to me is the Dormeo One. But I’ve noticed there’s surprisingly little information on it, especially when it comes to reliable reviews.
It seems that Dormeo models vary depending on the country – the Canadian models are Dormeo 1/2/3, and they don’t even appear on the US website. The UK version offers even more models that are completely different from either the US or Canada. Even the covers look different, so it’s hard to tell if we’re even dealing with the same mattresses across borders.
Is this normal in the mattress industry, or am I just noticing it now because I’m researching? I’m beginning to wonder if this is a tactic to limit online reviews by constantly changing model names and varying models by country.
I can find reviews, but as you can imagine, a review for the Dormeo 2 or 3 isn’t necessarily helpful when I’m trying to understand the Dormeo One. It's tough to gauge what’s real feedback and what’s marketing fluff.
If anyone has any insights into why companies operate this way, I'd love to hear them! And if you have the Dormeo One specifically, I'd be grateful to hear about your experience. How long have you had it? How is it performing? I’ve never been a foam person, but of all the firm mattresses I’ve tried, this one seems to hit a sweet spot for me.
Thanks for any help!
Hi people!
My mattress is too firm. I want the softest, cloud like, mattress topper that I can melt into that is on the market. I don’t want to have to fluff it. Price isn’t a concern. Please let me know which plush mattress topper you think is the best.
Thank you!
Hi everyone!
I currently am sleeping on a dreamcloud premier hybrid and it has been hurting my partner’s and I’s back after sleeping on it for a year.
What would be some good topper to remedy this mattress or, should I get a new mattress?
Is the bed too firm or too soft for your partner?
It all depends on your weight and sleeping position. Too bad to see that your DreamCloud Premier Hybrid isn't treating your backs well after a year of use. The DreamCloud Premier Hybrid is a pretty good mattress, for the right person. Backaches are no joke.
You've got a couple of paths to consider.
A memory foam topper might provide that extra cushioning your bodies need, helping to alleviate those backaches. Look for something in the medium-soft range – not too soft, to strike that balance between comfort and support.
Check out The Premium Mattress Topper by Dormeo.
If the problem persists despite trying a topper, it might be time to consider the idea of a new mattress. Your mattress could simply be too firm or supportive for both your weights and sleeping positions.
Take a moment to evaluate what you truly need – a quick fix with a topper or a long-term solution with a new mattress. It's all about finding that sweet spot between your comfort, budget, and sleep quality.
A few months back I asked for advice on mattress toppers (here), and benefited from the expertise and wisdom of several members of the community. Thanks again for all your help! I wanted to try to give back by providing an update on what I tried & where I landed, in case it was helpful to anyone.
I ended up trying 3 mattress toppers on my bed for several nights to several weeks. Spoiler alert: I ended up with the Novaform ComfortLuxe.
I tried the Tempurpedic Supreme first, after finding I could try it out from Amazon but still be able to return it with the return policy. BOY was I glad I had that option! This mattress topper felt like sleeping on a Laffy Taffy. It was hard as a brick* when you first laid on it, and then it would start to loosen up in the area immediately surrounding my body. But if I needed to turn over or adjust, it was crazy -- I had to physically fling myself and throw down hard to be able to settle into a new position. My husband felt the same. It was interesting when you had sunk in enough, I will say it felt supportive. But overall this was not at ALL what we were looking for. *I definitely prefer a softer experience so take this with a grain of salt please.
I tried the Tempurpedic cooling topper as well, also with a return option. This was much better than the supreme (for our tastes). I was so excited when I first took it out because it felt soft, giving, and plush, just what I was hoping for. Weirdly though, by the time it was in the cover and under my sheets, it did not feel that soft or plush -- the cover muted much of the feel. So, after a few nights of trying that out (meh -- not bad, but not what I had hoped), I removed the cover to see if that helped the plushness come through. It helped -- but was still not very plush, and I didn't relish the idea of having spent a bucket of money (it was $$$$$) on a topper only to remove one of the main selling points. I decided to try another topper (below) to decide whether it was worth the huge upgrade in price.....
So, I decided to try the Novaform ComfortLuxe from Costco. This was so much cheaper than the tempurpedics (it was under $200 vs. ~$500-600 at the time I purchased). It has turned out to be remarkably comfortable. The cover is not as fancy or luxurious as the tempurpedics, but it totally does the job. It is more comfortable than either of the tempurpedics -- meaning soft and plush (what I was looking for). I am really very happy. And, after trying this one, I decided there was no way it was worth the high markup for the tempur cooling topper, esp since this was ultimately more comfortable.
Based on what I have read from others, I must really be on the soft side of the spectrum for finding the tempurpedic supreme unappealingly hard, so please take my comments above in that light. But, for someone looking for a soft, plush mattress topper, I highly recommend checking out the ComfortLuxe. We have apparently been sleeping on it for around 6 months (how time flies), and it's just as comfortable as ever -- no apparent wear, dips, impressions, etc. (Plus, you have Costco's guarantee if it goes wrong.)
Happy to answer any questions.
I guess it is about the cost of the matress. plus they will dispose of it.
Hey!
Maybe you can recommend a really soft, comfy mattress topper that made your life better?
I'm struggling because I just bought a "healthier" firm mattress - and it feels like sleeping on planks 🥲
I am wanting to buy a mattress topper. I am debating between the brands Lucid or Sleep innovation. Mainly because of price!
Has anyone ever used these before? What was your experience? Or does anyone have any affordable recommendations?
I have worked at Gallery Furniture, in Houston, Texas for 12 years in the bedding department. I have travelled all over the world to educate myself about sleep, and everything surrounding it. I have studied under three of the world's top sleep pathologists and have been to every major mattress manufacturing plant in the United States, and many around the world (including three countries). It is my goal to help people get a restful night of sleep. I recently designed a mattress with Dormeo Octaspring. Ask me anything about mattresses, pillows, bedding or sleep, and I will answer it!

Anyone have any personal experience or know or or have heard of this brand? I got an insane deal on the mattress (1001$) so I’d just like to hear if anyone knows a thing or two about it
