You may or may not actually need to convert anything here. MP4 is just a container, and the audio stream inside it may already be MP3. Or it may be AAC or some other codec. I would use FFmpeg . If you're okay with using the command line, it's very powerful. Although it doesn't have a fancy GUI, FFMPEG is usually the best tool for this kind of thing since it can handle basically every media format under the sun. Maybe someone else can recommend something easier to use, but this should be fine for a one-off: Download ffmpeg-master-latest-win64-gpl.zip from https://github.com/BtbN/FFmpeg-Builds/releases Extract that archive and find ffmpeg.exe inside the bin directory, copy it somewhere convenient (such as a new directory on your desktop). In the same directory you copied ffmpeg.exe to, create a new text file with the .bat extension (such as convert_to_mp3.bat). Make sure you don't accidentally name it convert_to_mp3.bat.txt, since Windows hides the full file extension by default.
