Ordered from Boots and chose next day delivery. This was ordered Tuesday night and is expected to come on the 6th. Tracking number provided by boots doesn’t work when adding the address the package will be coming to. Should I just expect it to come tomorrow. Boots says it has been dispatched and that was at 2am today now I understand it can take time to update but I would expect it to say something by now. The tracking number is correct so I’m at a loss as to whether it will definitely arrive tomorrow
Update: (23:35) just checked again and it has updated to having received my order details and that they are expecting my package. Still a pain as it looks like I won’t get it tomorrow but at least I know the tracking is definitely with them. Thank you to everyone who had commented giving advice
Update 2: It arrived this morning at 8:22 and so I didn’t have anything to worry about it was just slow updates. Woke up like 10 minutes before it arrived as well. Thank you for all helpful advice

Try https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking - it may not be DPD? I use that site all the time, works an absolute treat for stuff coming from overseas or transittng through multiple different couriers.

January 8, 2024Which courier - Royalmail or dpd is more reliable and helpful?
I’ve used basically all of the main courier companies as a business and also delivered for a few of them. You will get mixed opinions on this. DPD next and 2 day services are roughly equivalent to Royal Mail’s Tracked 24 and 48. DPD is advantageous in that it gives a 1 hour delivery window, live map tracking to the door, actual inflight delivery options the customer can change right up until delivery. The technology is a lot better than Royal Mail, but the price is higher. DPD also offers an international service which uses local carriers to deliver in each country. It is fully tracked and cheaper than even Royal Mail’s untracked. Personally, if I had a parcel coming, DPD would be my preference as far as reliability goes. As for being helpful, if you mean customer support, I have yet to find any major company who is particularly helpful. For most companies, support agents can’t usually tell you any more than what the tracking says and for any missing/delayed parcels it’s usually a case of seeing if it turns up and claiming if it doesn’t. Just BRILLIANT… wouldn’t get that with Royal Mail… the app is super easy to use, easy to send, easy instructions and you can track your parcel from the moment you drop it off. I could see when my recipient received the parcel and there was even a photo of the open door on the app… I will 100% be using this app and DPD again…
