TBH if you want to go a beginner route. I would recommend the guitar hero/rock band drum kits over something like this. I will shamelessly admit that that game put me into another level of drumming (as far as hand-eye-foot coordination goes) when I first started out. Developing muscle memory is an important part of learning. Plus you'll still have a cool game if you find that drums really aren't you're thing. I've seen a lot of those table drum sets in corners collecting dust.
edit: Someone is gonna hate me for this, I just know it.

What do you guys use? I was hoping something with room for a pair of headphones or two, phone, possible a small mixer down the road. I can build something. I haven’t had any good ideas that I wanna pursue, hoping some of you had some pics or ideas.

I have a black 2U touring case(containing the power amp for my wedges) atop an old drum throne to my left, that I use as a table top.
You could get a simple short bar table, quite inexpensive and sturdy enough.
