For everyone asking for sources: Khalifa is an Israeli Druze with family and friends in Syria who's been closely covering everything happening to the Druze community since Assad's fall on his Telegram channel . I urge you all to follow because this is not getting nearly any coverage on mainstream news. He is posting video proof and footage of violence against Druze students on Syrian campuses, attacks on their holy sites and homes, kidnapping attempts of girls and men, gunmen attacks and so on. Tonight's attacks specifically is a result of the visit of 600+ Druze sheikhs to Israel this past weekend for the holiday of Zayara. The Syrian Minister of Interior, Anas Khattab just released a statement denying the Druze sheikh insulted Muhammad, they fabricated a lie as an excuse to attack the Druze because of their involvement with us. Ever since a few months ago i've been spending almost every hour of my free time talking to this amazing Israeli Druze girl, who's is the smartest, funniest, most ambitious and beautiful person i've ever had the privilige spending time with. I'm from the Netherlands and I'm not very religious, to which she told me even though we'd be great together, she'd have to risk her whole family just to date me. It's just heartbreaking to have her remind me not to get my hopes up cause it could never work, even though all the while we can't get enough of spending time with each other. Apart from either forgetting about such an amazing person (impossible) and her giving up her entire family (impossible), is there nothing I can do to salvage this so we wouldn't have to do either of these things? I'm not religious, but this situation legitimately has me praying for something to save this.

Yeah good luck, that’s a fight that no one is willing to take. Trust me I’ve tried even with my broken family, there’s culture and tradition that really isn’t worth losing over someone.
