My brother told me about ducky in 2020 said he did alot a research and when he built his computer I got to try it and I'll never go back. These keyboards are the most durable keyboards I've ever had and the ducky one 3s make it so easy to swap keys . I am thankful for ducky for making reliable, durable keyboards for a decent price.
To start, I actually owned a ducky one 2 sf with cherry browns and loved it, up until I got into the mechanical keyboard side of YouTube. I ordered a kit to make my own custom keyboard along with Gateron reds (will be trying ink blacks soon). After putting it all together I was impressed with how much better it felt and sounded. I compared it to my ducky and it had such a high pitched clack compared to the new one. I figured maybe it was the switch, so I found a cherry brown I had laying around and tried it in the new unmodded keyboard and found that it didn't sound or feel as good as the reds, but still sounded better than they do in my modded ducky housing. (edit: used the same keycaps to minimize variability)
I'm not saying ducky is bad by any means, especially since the only experience I had with them is with cherry brown. I guess what I'm trying to understand is why people hype up ducky, but others never talk about it.
