It really depends on what your expectations are. If I were to pick on one thing about these smart telescopes, it’d be the fact that they don’t polar align. They basically point roughly towards the pole, and then they take short exposures and de-rotate them, and stack them for you. They can’t take say a 30+ second exposure, because they’d suffer from field rotation in the live stacking process. For that reason, I consider these more EAA (electronically assisted astronomy). Is it cool for $500? Yeah as long as you don’t have crazy high expectations. From what I’ve seen I think the ZWO Seastar looks like the better product for the money. I’ll finish by saying this; if you get a used star tracker, any old canon dslr and a decent lens, you’ll be able to take much better photos than you’ll be able to with any of these smart telescopes. It’s going to take more effort, but that’s all part of the hobby. If you aren’t yelling at equipment in the cold at midnight, is it even astrophotography? Answer from GreenFlash87 on reddit.com

Dwarf II is a tiny telescope/camera suitable for wide-field shots, more useful for non-astronomical applications than for serious astrophotography.
Dwarf 2 DSO projects - Smart Telescopes - Cloudy Nights
I recently have had the luck of getting a dwarf 2 for free. I would like to take on big projects with lots of integration time with this scope. I know this is not very common with smart telescopes but I was wondering if there are any examples of people using the dwarf 2 for projects with long int... More on cloudynights.com
Fascinated by the DWARF 3, but worried about the "shelf life" of the hobby – Is it worth it?
Why you think the night sky doesn't change every month??? In fact, it changes a little everyday. A lot of objects you can see in winter, they are not visible in summer. And the objects you find in summer, a lot of them are not available in winter. More on reddit.com
Mini vs 3?
I've been lurking on the smart telescope for a few years while I put funds aside to get one. I started following just after the launch of the D2. I remember when the D3 was released there were a few people grumbling that they had bought the D2 and were blind sided by the D3 release. That said I ordered the D-mini thinking that if a D4 is released the jump from the mini to a D4 will be bigger than the jump from a D3 to a D4. My thinking may be flawed but I'm happy to go with the D-mini knowing its sitting under the D3 but based on what I've seen on YouTube and in this forum it's still a great little telescope. So if anyone has any experience with this product is it as great as they make it sound when it comes to DSO's because I have my doubts? Any other similar options around the same price or a lil more that might be better and that actually do what this item advertises?

It is an amazing little device. Light weight, portable, low entry costs, easy to get basic results and freedom to make great postprocessing results. Seestar will be competitive. Parents tempted to buy a dept store telescope - this is a great alternative at a low cost. My 8 year old granddaughter ran the camera with my coaching to get witch's broom nebula shots. She couldn't do it herself, but she learned a lot. (But the images you get of course cannot be compared to a dept store telescope.)

The Dwarf II Smart Telescope Is One Amazing Gadget | Fstoppers
September 3, 2023 - We're going to focus on astronomy in this review, but you should know this telescope can take stills and video during the day (video is 4K 30 fps) and also shoot panoramas, which it can automatically stitch together. If you're a wildlife photographer, it can track moving animals. It's all controlled by your smartphone, and images display immediately and then can be downloaded to your iPhone or Android gallery. The Dwarf II has two camera systems.
