Hey Everyone, just thought I'd post a few images from the Dwarf Mini since I realize there's not too many of them out in the wild right now. M42 and M31 were captured using the default settings (15 second exposures / 60 gain). M42 was done in EQ mode (about 45 minutes from Van Nuys). M31 was done in AZ mode (about an hour from downtown Halifax). The sun was 20 exposures. M42 was auto-processed within the app (using stellar studio). M31 image is unprocessed. Sun is unprocessed.
It would be interesting to see how you think these compare to other smart telescopes. I've posted a couple short videos on my YouTube channel regarding these, and I think Sunshine Nate is about to post a long video (that includes me capturing the M42 image below) so look out for those videos.
M42 (Orion Nebula) from somewhere near North Hollywood (used Sunshine Nate's Dwarf Mini) M31 (Should have used EQ mode, but wanted to test default settings) Dec 1st, 2025 Sun (20 exposures, the app did the work, I didn't manually tell it to stack them) Testing some daytime photography at Big Sur (still need to download the image from the Dwarf)
