We built an app with applescript code that works with Dymo label to autofill product information into different label templates. Dymo Label is applescriptable. Dymo Connect is not. Anyway, long story short, we've had to build a new app from the ground up to work with the Dymo Connect Framework. More on reddit.com

A: There are three ways you can connect your DYMO printer to software: 1) LAN connection (if supported): install DYMO Connect for Desktop, plug the LAN cable into the printer and an active network port, then choose “Add Network Printer” in the software. 2) USB cable: plug the printer into the computer; it should auto-install. 3) DYMO Wireless: click the Wi-Fi icon, select “New Network,” connect to the network name printed on the device label, then add the network printer in the software.

These older printers are available cheap and they still work fine for tens of thousands of prints, but they're technically no longer supported so there are some quirks with installing them.
At first Windows 11 won't detect the printer.
Don't download Dymo Connect, if you do, the printer won't be detected.
instead you have to download DYMO Label Software v8.5.4 for Windows 8.1
While the files are still on the Dymo site, they don't make it easy to find them
For now the files are available here https://www.dymo.com/support?cfid=dymo-compatibility-chart
Just install it and suddenly windows will detect the printer and everything will start working normally
Super easy fix... but no longer easily found on google, so maybe this can help someone.
