I did this a few years ago!! Best thing I ever did. I think I was able to redeem $500 worth of points and I paid the difference. Now I can use the air wrap to dry my hair (naturally wavy but won’t hold a curl from a tool) and it holds for 5+ days, looking better/more lived in every day. I have the long barrels. My shoppers had a waitlist so I didn’t get to choose the colour, I just jumped on whatever came in stock. Answer from Cute-indecisive on reddit.com

Hi friends, just wanted to see if anyone had insight into Shoppers getting the new airwraps. I'm in AB and no one seems to have them. I've been hoarding my points and I want to get my hands on one (preferably during a points redemption) I know that's a crazy long shot, but dream big!

This sub seems to know everything so I'm hoping you'll know! Thank u 💘💘

October 22, 2019 -

I searched everywhere for Dyson Airwarp deals. Nothing. Wasn’t aware that Dyson basically doesn’t offer good deals to Canada. By the time I figured this out I was too late, the one deal (copper trim + travel bag deal) was gone at the main retailers I was aware of that sold Dyson.

Searched online and saw Shopper Drug Mart carries the holiday airwrap version and it’s in stock. Went to buy it and found out they were having a x20 PC event. Ended up getting 197,000 points.

That’s $197 in savings.

There’s still some in stock to buy online.

June 18, 2024 -

Good morning all! I have decided to take the leap and buy the Dyson air wrap. It’s been a big few months for myself and my family and it’s one of those things I am just do for myself.

With that said. I’m still cheap 😂. When is the best time to buy it? I feel like the holidays coming up there’s bound to be sales but anything specific I should look out for?

Also, I think I want to old airwrap not the ID. I’ve read about the cool shot and I just don’t think I’d used the features of ID. Any feedback on this?

Thank you!!!!😊

r/MakeupAddictionCanada on Reddit: Best Deal for Dyson Airwrap
January 1, 2023 -

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but I was wondering which is the best deal for the Dyson Airwrap in Canada between Sephora or Shopper's Drug Mart.

I'll save about $60 more if I purchase from Shopper's during the 20x points sale instead of during the 20% off Rouge sale in April. However, is Sephora's return policy more lenient? I think at Sephora you can still return after opening if you don't like it, whereas for Shopper's you can't return once opening. I'm also wondering if it will even be in stock in April at Sephora as I've heard it can be out of stock before the sale even starts.

Is there other information that I'm missing? Are there other better deals out there? Thanks!

I have PC optimum points I’ve been saving and I always planned to buy a Dyson. An airwrap is something I generally wouldn’t pay full price for otherwise so I thought saving points for it made sense

But for the people that have one, is it worth it? I have thin hair because a lot of mine fell out due to stress and I’m trying to re grow it now and just enter my hair care era so is this a good investment for that? I see myself using the brush and dryer attachments a lot. Is it worth it? I wear hijab so I don’t see myself worrying too much about styling my hair or at least not often, I’d just like to perfect a simple blowout.

What else should I consider buying with my points instead?

December 17, 2019 -

Hi everyone. I am trying to buy the Dyson Airwrap for my girlfriend for her birthday and shoppers seems to have it in stock on their website. The thing that I am worried about is that after 12ish hours of ordering it still shows that its in stock. I know this item gets sold out basically right away so I am not sure if there is a glitch that they haven't fixed and I won't get my item. Does anyone have experience with this? They already charged my credit card at the time of ordering.

Anyone who has experience with shoppers and Black Friday events, do products usually come back in stock like the dyson air wrap? It was in stock before 9am but I had an interview and didn’t purchase it right away, so unfortunately it’s out of stock now. Not sure if I should save my points for another event (are there better events than this?) or try to spend it on another high ticket item like a switch (if that’s still in stock)

[Shoppers Drug Mart] Dyson Supersonic / Air Wrap ($100 / $350) - RedFlagDeals.com Forums
April 14, 2024 - Thanks OP! So the cash out of pocket would be ($799.99*1.12 tax)-$300 redemption =$595.99? Wish they’d allow multiple redemptions in one transaction. I’d love the Airwrap but spending $600 out of pocket still feels too extravagant for a hair tool, even considering the extra 150,000 points.

r/MakeupAddictionCanada on Reddit: Sephora sale: Should I get a Dyson Airwrap?
April 4, 2021 -

With the Sephora sale coming up I’ve been thinking of getting a Dyson Airwrap but am hesitant because it’s quite $$$ and bulky (my bathroom storage is limited). I’m wondering if people love theirs and think it’s worthwhile. The reviews I’ve seen are pretty mixed.

I have long hair that’s in the medium thickness and naturally quite curly/frizzy but I wear it straightened. I currently air dry it or use a Dyson hairdryer to dry to 90% and then finish it off with the Revlon hair tool. I find that routine quite manageable and like how my hair looks for the most part but wouldn’t mind some body or waves. I sometimes use a Revlon wand to add waves if I’m feeling fancy but wondering if it would look better/fuller with an air wrap. Please also note that I’m pretty lazy and don’t want to spend more than 15 mins on my hair.

All of that to say I don’t NEED a Dyson air wrap but with the Sephora sale coming up (I’d save 20%) I’m kind of tempted.

Should I get one?

I can’t really judge because I don’t have it, BUT if I were to put in my 2 cents, I’d say if you get it, buy it from shoppers. Shoppers currently has it from $649 - 699 and Sephora has it for 699. If you get it at the sale, depending on what your VIB status is, you’ll get $69 - 139 discount. If you get the complete set at shoppers (at least online), it’s worth 10, 485 points (so $10 back) but if you wait until there’s 20 times the points it should be worth 209, 700 points (so that’s $200 that can be redeemed in points) Furthermore if you rack up roughly $200 in points at shoppers you can wait until a super spend your points event and cash in your points for even more than they’re worth. So for example, based on past super redemption events you could get $300 worth of stuff when redeeming 200,000 points! Editing to add because some people may not be aware, but you can use those points on virtually anything once redeemed. Groceries at loblaws stores, shoppers drugstore or high end makeup. Whatever!

I won the Dyson Airwrap in that Sephora giveaway contest earlier this year, and having used it for a few months now, i don't think it's worth it. I mean it's definitely nice to have, however I don't think it's worth the hefty price tag even with the sale. Sounds like you have a nice routine going on with your Revlon hair tool, and I would stick to it until at least your Revlon styler stops working. The Dyson carrier/box also takes up quite a bit of space, which will be annoying if you don't have much space in your bathroom. I'd say skip the Airwrap and save the $ instead. Or spend the money on a Dyson vacuum if you need one. The vacuum is definitely worth it and much more life changing than the Airwrap 😆

November 12, 2017 - Just a disclaimer that I have a pretty easy/manageable hair type (super straight) and I got my Dyson for free with my credit card points, but I don’t think it would be worth the price (for me) if I had to pay for it. It’s definitely a great hairdryer (fast, not that loud, light) but if I was buying a new hairdryer I’d probs go for one half its price. That said, I do really want the Airwrap lol.

August 19, 2023 - Other dyson hair products have the 100K promo as well (can see the 100K online). Was able to grab the hair dryer at regular price. Used the redemption promo but had 20x points and other promos. Used 200K points but got 183K points from the purchase. ... Said it in another Airwrap thread....but so, so, so, SO glad my wife said this product just wasn't for her after we initially got one through SDM redemption some time ago.

The Dyson Airstrait is down to CAD $550 for Black Friday, and the price seems identical across Dyson, Sephora, Best Buy, Shoppers Drug Mart, Canadian Tire, and Amazon. Does anyone know if there are any extra discounts available - promo codes, cashback tricks, credit-card offers, anything like that?

I’m buying it as a gift and don’t need it until the end of January, so I’m also wondering if it might go cheaper later on. Should I grab it now or wait for a better sale?
