Dyson vacuums don't have any carpet height adjustment so they can get stuck to high pile or plush carpet and be impossible to push and pull and use. It's possible your new house's carpet is incompatible with your Dyson. Sharks and other vacuums that don't have any physical carpet height adjustment can get stuck to higher/plusher carpets. I would lay the vacuum on it's back and turn it on to check that suction is going to the head with the brushroll off. Next lower the head and turn it on to make sure the brushroll still turns when it's not on your carpet then you'll know nothing is broken on your Dyson. If the brushroll doesn't turn when it's not touching the carpet the brushroll could be clogged with hair or string or the motor could be broken. I've cleaned and taken the vacuum apart, aside from opening the motor. I have suction on the top side of the ball but not the lower side where the head connects. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Do you have suction through the handle hose when it's running? If so is the mechanical coupling that switches between handle hose and floor head not engaging / stuck? It usually engages / disengages based on handle angle

So I have this issue and what it is when you flip the handle down underneath the handle between the Wheels as a mechanism that switches the valve down to the lower portion that can get stuck all you have to do is push it down by hand I'm sure if you take it apart you can fix it but check to see if that valve is getting stuck when you push the handle down

I have a Dyson Multifloor Ball and it’s been great - until this weekend. We moved to a new home that has a new carpet and it just plain stopped working sucking from the brush floor part. It did for about two minutes then “stuck” to the carpet by being sucked stuck and wouldn’t let me push or pull it if that makes any sense. Then stopped spinning, and only sucks from hose part very powerfully so I know it’s sucking fine just from wrong area.
I have - checked all filters - clear
Zero blockages after checks
The floor brush piece seems fine but again had a moment where it super-sucked the carpet and didn’t let me push/pull it and then only sucks from hose part.

I noticed that my Dyson multi floor ball (yellow top on filter, grey ball) had stopped picking up. I cleaned out all the hoses and the head. Cleaned all the filters and it was working fine. That was a week ago. Today I noticed it wasn’t picking up items that it should. A feather on my hardwood floors. I emptied the canister and got a small clog at the head. Everything else was clear. When I turned the vacuum on I can feel the suction coming from the tube (as always) but when I put my hand under the head, I literally feel no suction. Like nothing. I tried it with the brushes on and off. Also tried it with the vacuum in the upright position and with handle pulled back like I was using it normally. Is this supposed to happen? When I vacuum there are things being picked up. No freaking idea how, since I can’t feel anything from the head…..

I'm having the exact same issue exact same model. Dyson Ball multi-Floor it's an older model probably 2014-2015 somewhere in there. But suction is very strong at the hose and at the ball base when I remove the clean head. There's no clogs in the cleaner head. Did you have any luck? My wife has hell bent on buying a new one but I'm honestly just thinking about getting the hardwood attachment and just using the hose.
