This is a premium product, everything worked well. No signs of battery wearing down. And all of a sudden, no power, no charging. Nothing! The sad part is that Dyson are selling a new battery at 1/4 the price of a new vacuum. SHAME!
I'd be happy to splurge on the v11 or v15 but the two year warranty seems risky for a $1000+ product. I had a good quality corded dyson (much cheaper tho) and its motor failed after 3 years - couldn't get a refund or replacement. Then got a good corded Miele vacuum, motor failed after 2.5 years, same shit from Miele and it was cheaper to buy a new one than cost of repair.
Am I asking for too much as a consumer or is this just blatant planned obsolescence? Do you think it's worth just taking the plunge on these top of the line cordless vacuums because repairs would never cost more than than replacement if I were to run into an issue?
