Costco Canada: V11 Total Clean vs V11 Torque Drive
I'd probably get the Total Clean. The price of the floor dok adds about $100 to the price and is of negligible value considering the Total Clean should come with a wall mount. I'm not familiar with the Cyclone Total Clean branding, I think it's exclusive to Costco.
That being said, I think you should reconsider Costco. I got the V11 Absolute (no dok) a few months ago from Canadian Tire when it was on sale for $750, reg $899. It comes with the soft roller cleaner head for hard floors (the $100 value difference from lower V11 model) in addition to the high torque cleaner head that automatically adjusts between floors and carpet and a bunch of other minor attachments. I don't think either Costco models come with the soft cleaner head which is why Costco seemingly has decent prices. You'd be fine with the torque cleaner head, but the soft cleaner head does a really good job at dust and crumbs. If you do decide to go with Costco, I'd set your gate openings on the cleaner head to more open so it doesn't struggle with crumbs.
The brand new Dyson V15 came out last week, not sure if it has launched in Canada yet, so far only on the US website, but I imagine it will bring the V11 prices down if you're willing to wait. It looks phenomenal with even more suction, and a laser light so you can see where all the dust and crumbs are on the floor. Looks like the pricing may be the same as the V11 currently is.
More on reddit.comIf you're thinking of buying directly from Dyson Canada, save yourself the grief and shop elsewhere! Here's my 3-week saga to warn potential buyers.
On Day 1 (order date), I placed an order for a Supersonic hair dryer (~$540 inc. GST) via Dyson's official website. It went on hold for "verification." On Day 5, they emailed asking for my name, email, and address. I called on Days 7 and 11, giving the details each time—zero progress. Sent a complaint email on Day 11; they replied on Day 14, asking for the SAME info AGAIN. I replied instantly, followed up on Day 15—ignored.
Fed up, I called on Day 16: Rep demanded verification AGAIN, put me on hold, then disconnected! I emailed to cancel and demand a refund afterwards and filed a credit card dispute. Guest what. Dyson shipped it in the afternoon (Purolator tracking)!
Delivery was worse: Label created Day 16; shipped Day 17. Driver claimed "no access" to my building (I was home). Contacted Purolator CS online, requested re-delivery on Day 18 with a driver call. Nothing happened on Day 18. The online CS said their depot had not processed my request. I repeatedly gave the instruction that the driver should call me when he arrived. Purolator CS acknowledged my request. Second attempt to deliver on Day 21 failed again because the driver couldn't access my building. No call at all despite my repeated request. Had to switch to a pick-up point and walk 30 mins in the heat on Day 23 to get it—3 weeks total!
Without my relentless calls, strongly worded emails, dispute, and threats to cancel, I doubt I'd have it by now. Dyson's CS is unresponsive and incompetent; Purolator's delivery is a mess.
Advice: Buy Dyson from Amazon or Best Buy for easier returns.

I need to share my frustrating experience with Dyson Canada's customer support, hoping it might help others avoid the same issues.
Back in 2022, I requested a replacement for a faulty Dyson hair dryer that was under warranty. The customer support team assured me during one of our phone conversations/emails that they would send me a return box and exchange my defective product. However, I never received the return box. Despite sending multiple follow-up emails, I never got any replies from Dyson.
Last week, I called them again, and they informed me that my warranty had now expired. However, they acknowledged that my case had been on file since 2022 and promised to follow up and send me an update email within 3-4 days, considering it a special case.
A week went by without any communication, so I called them again this afternoon. I spoke with a representative named Mxnuela, she reiterated that my warranty had expired and that it was my responsibility to follow up during those two years. She also mentioned that all they could offer was a 20% discount on a new Dyson product. I couldn't believe it! Even new customers can get such discounts, and better deals are available during sales like Black Friday. I feel humiliated!
I have all the email records and phone calls between myself and Dyson's support team. I'm extremely disappointed that they couldn't uphold their promises to a loyal customer and that their support team has been so unresponsive and unhelpful throughout this entire process.
Has anyone else had similar issues with Dyson Canada's customer support? Any advice on what to do next would be greatly appreciated.
My dudes— I have had a hell of a time. I tried to get my mom a Dyson Airwrap for Mother’s Day and paid for 2 day shipping. That thing wasn’t shipped until 3 days later, which led into the weekend so it wasn’t delivered until Friday next week, because it was sent regular post. I emailed to get a refund on the shipping and my request was ignored. She just sent an apology email and when I followed up with the refund request my email was ignored.
Then, I tried to return it bc I had ordered one from Amazon instead (which I received next day), and I had to make a BLOODY REQUEST to return it, finding the serial number and codes for the accessories in order to return it. They said they’d get back to me in 48 hours and it’s been 72.
Stay safe my friends and order elsewhere!
