September 20, 2019Bought a Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer, but something was fishy so I dug deeper and turns out it was a fake, so…
To be honest I only thought those fake Dyson rip offs looked nothing like Dysons, they might look 80% there but you can tell its not from Dyson. So it was definitely my own arrogance that I bought it without checking it over. It was only by chance after looking at reviews of Dyson Supersonic did a video of someone reviewing the super copies of the super sonic did I understand that what I bought was a genuine supercopy. Youtube's algorithm does it again. Honestly I wouldn't have noticed, but there are small evidence that really adds up to tell me its totally fake.
People say the real supersonic gets really really hot, this gets meh not melt your face off hot, its like the back of your refrigerator hot. But it does blow, I disassembled it before, but forgot to take photos, but everything looks like the real thing even on the inside. The motor control doesn't have any Dyson branding on it which is very big red flag.

So I've been joggling with the idea of buying my first Dyson hair dryer so I normally did some research and came upon mixed reviews.
Before doing my research I was set on buying myself one for Black Friday but now I'm kinda torn. The general consensus is that the product is good but it stops working at the 2 year mark warranty or before that and give than its not quite cheap not sure if I'm willing to pay 400$ for a product that can stop working any minute plus from what I've read Dyson customer support is horrible.
That's why I'd like to get some opinions from people who owned this product. Thanks in advance ~
