Basically the end of OG Dyson, all the new products have seen cost cutting. I know money needs to be made (and in typical British fashion their whole org was too big, not helping their financial situation), but the OG Dyson would not rebrand a Picea, they would aim to make everything in-house. I know some of their products were hated but I respect the effort for in-house engineering and production.

It really smells like the PICEA R2 ODM plattform https://www.piceacorp.com/solution/ Same the iRobot Roomba Max 705 Combo is based on. If so this new Dyson Robot is not even close in vacuuming performance - there is even no marketing slider touching the vacuuming performance.

On that same thread, u/Purr_Meowssage posted a picture of the label at the bottom of the robot and highlighted "Made in China", this is normal IMO.
What caught my attention is that on the blurry image, it seemed to mention.. Picea!
It's not very clear, however, if we enhance the image:
It's more than clear that it does say Picea. Dyson might have noticed this, because soon after they added an attachment to cover this up (maybe whoever took the picture simply took the cover off and had to rush taking a picture).

This is kind of interesting and also slightly worrying. I think it would be beneficial for them to admit that they have collaborated with Picea on this product and also mention their reasonings as to why. Looking on Picea’s website, they do offer collaboration models for their robot vacuums. I can also see that this doesn’t appear to be a solely Picea design, more of an amalgamation of Dyson’s and Picea’s technologies. There are two facts that concern me though: This is coming from a company (Dyson) that have many core technologies and treats everything they develop and build as in house (i.e. not off the shelf). Look at many of their other products and technologies. The efforts they’re going to in order to hide this fact. It would be better if they just came out and admitted that this was the case.
