Costco is $490 in warehouse.
Dyson has it (https://www.dyson.com/hair-care/hair-dryers/supersonic/prussian-blue-rich-copper) for $300 plus a couple add-ons.
Costco one looks like it has stand and a couple additional attachments but I believe the Dyson promo has them as options as well.

Not too familiar with the supersonic hair dryer but is there a difference or something I'm missing here? Normally expect Costco to be much better on pricing.
Only Q1 and wife’s asking this for Christmas, for that price it better do hair and makeup too!🥴 @OttawaBlair

Looking to buy this. I see the air wrap is $150 off right now but I’m wondering if the supersonic ever goes on sale. I’d so, does anyone know how much?
What is the in store cost?
So I've been joggling with the idea of buying my first Dyson hair dryer so I normally did some research and came upon mixed reviews.
Before doing my research I was set on buying myself one for Black Friday but now I'm kinda torn. The general consensus is that the product is good but it stops working at the 2 year mark warranty or before that and give than its not quite cheap not sure if I'm willing to pay 400$ for a product that can stop working any minute plus from what I've read Dyson customer support is horrible.
That's why I'd like to get some opinions from people who owned this product. Thanks in advance ~
Not sure if this should be here or in r/dyson. It's a question about both. I'm on my third Dyson Supersonic hair dryer and only one of them has lasted past the two year warranty (just barely). Why do I keep buying the same hair dryer? I haven't found another brand that comes close to matching the air speed and heat of the Dyson. Definitely open to suggestions if there are any.
I have never bought a Dyson at Costco but am considering it for the return policy. I have found the Dyson customer service to be less than helpful, especially considering the costs of the machines and the fact that they typically stop functioning properly after about a year.
Anyone have experience buying/returning a Dyson hairdryer to Costco? Does it fall under the same lifetime return policy or is there a maximum time to return it? I'm tired of having to fight Dyson customer service to get the warranty coverage.
Thanks in advance.
I bought a Dyson hair dryer recently from Costco when it was on sale from my local Costco. Informed by Costco employees that they locked up the dryer in the supply room due to stealing/people opened boxes. Got it anyway. I went home open it up (seals still intact), plug it in, didn't work. I put the serial # on Dyson website and it showed it was the 1st generation (Unsure what is the current gen right now). Called Dyson support and was directed to exchange at Costco for faulty product.
I went to a different Costco 15' away from my local one to see if they have the "lock up" issue there. Turned out there was a whole pallet of Dyson hair dryer. This time it worked! I entered the serial # again on Dyson and it showed a different model (Maybe the newest generation?). I deep dived in the r/dyson and was surprised my first one might be a counterfeit, which is unbelievable because I got it from Costco, not some random sellers. Here are some differences between the faulty one and the new one I got:
| Faulty Dyson | New Dyson |
|---|---|
| Serial # only on the tag wrapped around the cord. | Serial # on the tag wrapped around the cord, the outer box, and the inner box. |
| Plug without GFCI protection. Weird because even my cheap $20 has GFCI plug. (Didn't take a picture of the faulty one but found something similar on Google). | GFCI protection plug. |
| The magnetic attachments are weak | The magnetic attachments are stronger |
Anyone bought a Dyson from Costco and had the same problem? Will cross-post this in r/dyson
The Dyson Hair Dryer is $50 off bringing it to $350 USD. I have a Dyson corded vacuum cleaner that is over 15yo and still working great.
Has this been a good purchase for those who took a leap into the premium category? Would love to treat my wife to something nice that she would use on a routine basis. TIA.

i’m trying to plan ahead and figure out if the best dyson supersonic hair dryer black friday deals 2025 are actually worth waiting for. i’ve been holding off buying one and i’m hoping this is the time prices finally drop a bit.
if you’ve followed past sales or know which stores usually come through, where do you think the best shot will be this year? i’m fine grabbing it online or in store.
any tips from people who tracked the deals in previous years?
Is there a difference between the supersonic origin models? Like on Costco they’re listing the fuschia and gray set but everyone else is selling the nickel/copper now. Ulta, Dyson.com, and Best Buy all have the copper version. Are there different generations and if so where do I find that info?
I’ve see a lot of people saying they’re unreliable machines so would like to buy it from Costco, but also don’t want to get one that’s an earlier generation. Any insight?
I got one from Amazon that was the copper version but the box was opened and it didn’t work. Would turn on and shut right back off…. So I think Amazon is out of the question. I’ve also heard of fakes or broken ones being sold at stores so I’ll be checking it no matter what.
Also appreciate general feedback on it! And if you all have other dryer recommendations for thick wavy damaged hair.
Hi all, I'm deciding between the Laifen Swift or Dyson Supersonic. My hair is natural (never colored), fine/thin, 2c type. I was previously using a $24.99 Chi Low EMF hair dryer that I purchased back in 2018! I recently noticed 2 cracks on the exterior so it's time to move on.
I'm looking for something reliable that will last 5+ years. I don't mind maintenance of cleaning filters, etc., just looking for something solid that will be gentle on my hair. I mostly blow out my hair/rough dry with a brush and want to get into diffusing my curls. I've been using the Dyson for about a week and upon first use my hair didn't feel as dried out (parched)/frizzy as what it does with my Chi. I never even knew my hair was looking rough until I tried the Dyson - it made my hair silky smooth and pretty straight even without using a brush.
I also ordered the Laifen which is coming in the mail next week.
Do any of use either blow dryers - what would you recommend? Longevity use, how are they holding up? Other opinions & comments welcome. Thank you!
I remember years ago (around 2020) Dyson was all the rage in curly hair circles but the price shocked me.
I'm in a position where I can buy one with it's attachments (refurbished/second hand) but I'm unsure if it's worth it. It's still a hefty price in my opinion. I don't mind splurging on tech as long as it's good and worth it.
I don't really use diffusers much but since I moved into a colder country, I'm not a fan of waiting for hours on end for my hair to dry.
I’ve been debating the Dyson airwrap, supersonic dryer and airstraight straightener products for a while now. I have really long hair (almost waste length). Most in this group are aware that Costco has an airwrap deal and a supersonic dryer deal. After watching videos and reading comments/reviews I was leaning towards the airwrap and airstraight straightener (most likely from the Dyson site, but hesitant from recent posts of issues with orders). Now I’m considering Costco instead because, let’s be real… the return policy makes life easy and I can get the product immediately. Considering my extra long hair, will the airwrap Costco deal be worth it? I realize I can buy the other attachments online if necessary though I’m not sure what I may need or would benefit from having. It’s been years since I’ve dedicated time and engery to style my hair. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to change this. Is there anyone on here with long hair that can comment on the airwrap and or the other Dyson hair products? Thanks in advance!
