Just get a soft roller for your v6 off ebay. It is perfectly fine for hard floors if you have the soft roller. This filter kit will bring your v6 into 2023 if it doesn't have a filter on it. Your v6 will function until the day the plastic disintegrates. just have the right tools and replace whatever breaks and keep it clean. If you do upgrade, I would get a v12 and keep your v6 for hitting the concrete as this is rough on vac heads. I keep my old v6 for "utility" cleaning. I would not consider the omniglide an upgrade if you already have a v6/7/8 and you can just put a $40 fluffy head on it.
