Pretty much what the title says. Ive been seing this price for the last 3 years while still hanging on to my DC14 from 2016 ( maybe older) but never bit the bullet. Is this price worth in 2025? I do really need a vaccum ASAP and I would like a cordless one this time

Prices are all over the place this year. I tried the Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum and the auto suction change saved me from messing with buttons. It can feel nice when the vacuum figures things out on its own.

I have heard so many negatives from this sub I was really wary but my mom visited and loved my roommate's V11. She knew I haven't owned a dry vacuum in a while but our house is too big for just a Dyson that dies super fast. (I impulse bought a wet vac during Black Friday)
So far I really like it but I also wouldn't personally spend quite so much on this. Def wait for a sale and get from Costco since everyone says Dyson customer service sucks!

As Dyson said they plan to no longer are going to develop any coord vaccums, the newer cordless are getting to be amazing. I have the V11 an its great, I really want the submarine version for mopping now.

Hello! How are you still feeling? Do you still like it? I think my only concern is the battery life. But I also don't see me needing to vacuum for more than 60 minutes at a time lol

Looks like the vac itself is the "dyson digital slim" released last year I think. It is a weird new budget oriented model I think, calling it the v9 implies it's lower grade than a v10, but in several ways it definitely isnt. If you really want a submarine head with reasonable vac performance it might be worth it.

Costco continuing the trend of monsterized custom models just for them. I'm not sure why anyone would want the Submarine, but the slim is a great vacuum. So you can't go wrong with that part!

All three options are on sale, $480, $440, and $630 respectively.
This would be for the second story in my house. I have a Roborock for the bottom story, but a second Roborock would be too much of a hassle with the kids rooms always having random junk on the floor. I’m mostly debating if the V15 is worth the $190 premium. We have four cats and a dog, so plenty of pet hair floating around. Floors are LVP.

Model comparisons get overwhelming fast. I read about Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum and liked that it adjusts suction automatically. Not thinking about power levels room to room sounded appealing to me.

Definitely v15. It has a meaningfully better and swappable battery, better pet hair extensions, the laser head which is helpful, and is way quieter. The V10 is so loud and high pitched it is painful to be around for me

I plan on pulling the cord and getting my first Dyson vacuum this sale. I’ve narrowed it down to the v15 and v12 sold by Costco (so I have access to the flexible return policy if all goes awry), but the biggest factor holding me back from the v15 is the weight difference.
My understanding is v15 is more powerful, slightly better battery life and bin capacity, and comes with more attachments. However, v15 is around 15lbs and the v12 is around 5lbs.
In Canada, v15 is on sale for $780 and v12 for $675 so not a huge difference.
I live in a ranch-style house with a carpet upstairs, carpet stairs, and hard floors for the foyer and downstairs (with a rug here and there) so it’s pretty 50/50. I will also be using a central vacuum, and emptying the bin more isn’t a huge deal to me.
Which did you pick and why? Did the weight of the v15 keep you back? Is one more reliable than the other? Is it even worth going for the v15?

I bought the v12 absolute slim detect and its been good enough for my wife and me. 2 story house w/dog and hardwood floors and no problems with the battery. Need to empty the bin like 2-3times when vacuuming carpets that our dog lies on. V12 is really light and I like it

Costco's v15 because Costco's return policy is 10000x better than Dyson customer support. If anything ever goes wrong (it happens all the time), you can just take it back to costco, no box needed, and they will take it back no questions asked and you can pick up a brand new one off the rack. Dyson on the other hand will make you jump though hoops and perform a song and dance to get any resolution. I know from personal experience this is not just hearsay.
