V6 from 2018, should I keep and fix?
Can you switch heads on the vacuums? If I buy the V6 Moorhead that comes with the direct-drive cleaner, can I switch the head to the soft roller for hard wood floors? Can I even buy the other head to switch them out? I understand the V6 Absolute comes with both, but I hate red and it costs more.
V6 motor head. Help me identify the replacement part. Thanks
Dyson V6 replacement parts
So I had a Dyson V6 which got stolen. Long story. Anyways, I ended up getting a refurb Dyson V8 for about $200. The difference is night and day. The suction was greater, the emptying system was 100 times better and the battery lasted longer. I felt like the person who stole my Dyson did me a favor. So why do I mention this? An original Dyson v6 battery is about $100 and once you get a fluffy head for it, you're out another $100. You may be better off getting a refurb Dyson v8. If you can find a cheap so-so battery for the v6, throw it into the garage for car duty and use the V8 in the house. Being a holiday weekend , there should be a lot of sales on Dysons, if you want a new one too! Otherwise, if you really love your v6, you can get parts directly from Dyson or refurb parts from their ebay store. Good luck whatever you choose!

I recently bought a new V8 as my main vacuum, however I still have a V6 from 2018 which was my former regular vacuum.
It’s starting to show its wear and tear, and the battery is getting ready to be replaced as it’s the original and only lasts about 30 seconds to a minute at best when I put it in Max mode.
I am wondering if it’s actually worth replacing the battery (and a few other components, like the motorhead brush and maybe buying a soft floor roller brush if I can find one) cost wise at this point.
I only intend on using this one as a secondary vacuum for my home office. I am interested in the Amazon batteries but I’ve heard they are not worth the price drop, but the official ones are almost $150 Canadian dollars.
At this point, would it be more worthwhile to get a new secondary vacuum or invest in parts replacement and try to get some more years out of it?
