I needed the exact same repair and after 5 years of searching for someone to do it correctly, I found Rick Vallejo at Acorn Restoration 510.835.1323 [email protected] I think he charged $150… but I can’t quite remember. He is very old school. He moved to Hayward but arranged for me to drop the chair at his buddies upholstery shop on MacArthur. I had a minute where I wondered if I’d ever see the chair again because communication was all through email, no receipt, no time line. However, a couple weeks later, picked up the chair and repair was perfect.

Did the shock mount come off the wood panel or did the lower back panel break? That makes a big difference

May 1, 2019 - Make a contoured brace from the good opposite side of chair back and wax them up real nice so the epoxy will release. The brace can be made with a saran wrap release film and plaster over the good symmetrical part.
