I remember watching it as a kid and ive been trying to find it forever, i think it had dinosaurs in it and one part that has stuck with me is the beginning is these guys are in a cave and either these man eating bats or flying dinosaurs eat the guys and the cave comes in later on in the movie. I know its a long shot but i cannot think of what this movie is.

Does Anyone Remember the Movie "Dinosaur" (2000) which is a live-action/computer-animated film by Disney? It was one of Disney's live-action and a mix of computer-animated alongside films like The Wild and so on. The story is about a young Iguanodon who was adopted and raised by a family of lemurs on a tropical island. After surviving a devastating meteor shower, the family moves out for their new home and befriends a herd of dinosaurs along the way while on a journey to the "Nesting Grounds". I remember watching this as a kid on VHS and being completely creeped out by the designs of the dinosaurs. I rarely see anyone speak about this film at all.

I remember seeing it as a kid and thinking even at the time that it was just Tarzan with extra steps. Now I recognise it as a failed hybrid script of several key tropes popular at the time. Animation was creepy and poorly done but probably groundbreaking or something.

I recently rewatched this, it's not terrible but it doesn't really hold up. The lemur characters literally don't do anything and Aladar has an Oliver Twist issue where he is too good and noble to be interesting. For the time the animation was impressive, but today the only thing that still looks good is the scenery. 5/10

I often hear people say that most (if not almost all) dinosaur movies are kinda dogshit, exept for the first films of the jp/w and the LBT franchises
(and occasionally,the third Ice Age film and Disney's Dinosaur, tought these are mostly seen as fine,while the first two are what I often hear people call masterpieces unironically)
While I haven't seen a lot of dino movies myself,I have a question,what are some unironically good dino films that aren't from the jp/w or LBT catalouge?It can be any kind of dino-film really

Unfortunately like you said a lot of paleo media outside of those franchises (hell even within those franchises) is dog shit. However, there’s some stuff worth checking out depending on what you are into. The old Ray Harryhausen stop-motion effects in movies like Valley of Gwangi are pretty cool from a technical standpoint. Same with Ghost of Slumber Mountain, one of the first stop motion films, and it’s available for free on Youtube. Peter Jackson’s King Kong has a lot of cool pseudo-dinosaurs in it as well (they are modern descendants of dinosaurs but still look a lot like their ancestors)

The 2001 BBC adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Lost World is somewhat of a hidden gem. Prof. Challenger is portrayed by Bob Hoskins. A lot of heart and thought was put into it. If I’m not mistaken, they reuse some of the dinosaur models from Walking With Dinosaurs.

Hey y'all, I'm looking for the name of a dinosaur movie that I saw many moons ago as a kid. The only scene I can seem to remember at the moment is a woman getting thrown into a pool and drowning. It is slightly possible it could be a monster movie as well, but I could've sworn it was a T-Rex.
I know for a fact it wasn't part of the Jurrasic Park/World franchise, but that's all I know.

In my opinion this is the black sheep of Disney's experimental era (which is Disney canon movies released from 2000 starting with Dinosaur and ending in 2009 with Prince and the Frog) because recently on YouTube this movie got more hate like you probably know Schaffrillas Production or Ls Mark ( who is an Irish Youtubers by the way) both of them ranked this movie dead last on their Disney ranking list (Which is the reason I motivate to watch this).
