June 25, 2023 - The idea with this table is that it doesn't have to be absolutely perfect - just sturdy and useful. It's going to sit on a fairly uneven patio. So I pretty much just eyeballed the corners instead of using a square. I used 4 deck screws to attach each leg - two per face. And I found it easiest to attach the legs upside down, then flip the whole thing over.

Yes. I would double it. 1x nominal typically will be 0.75” actual or less. Far too thin for a table top. It depends entirely on what you want. Keep in mind that when we talk about wood types for outdoors it’s important to contextualize your expectations. Even less than ideal woods can last a long time, especially without direct ground contact. Sometimes it’s 10 years vs 10 generations and you may only need something to last five years. Anyone built their own? Struggling to find frames/legs that will stand up to the elements i.e stainless, or would I need to get these custom made by a fabricator?

I built one in 2019 using 4x4 posts for legs, built a frame of 2x4s and used decking timber on top. Cost way less than a bought one and it’s way more sturdy. Made some benches to match too

As others have said, wood is probably easier. This site is full of ads, but has a huge range of free plans and instructions for making furniture out of framing timber. There's over 50 tables of various sizes.

When I went to Lowe’s and looked at the patio stones they were really thick and kinda basic. So I looked around for something else that might work instead and found these natural gray stepping stones. They were only 1″ thick instead of 2″ and they were much prettier for a tabletop.

I'd like to build an outdoor table and this is the rough material list/plans I have so far.
Tabletop: 1x6 cedar with a bordered edge. I'll be using the slat design to allow water to easily pass through when it rains.
Table frame: Pressure treated 2x4's
Legs: Pressure treated 4x4's
A few questions I have:
1.) Is the 1 inch tabletop thickness going to be too thin?
2.) Is pressure treated lumber for the frame and legs not a good idea? I'm totally cheaping out because cedar is already pretty expensive. The tabletop alone will cost about $150. With PT lumber, I guess another con is that it's non very pretty and probably won't take stain very well.
Any comment on my approach before I draw up actual plans? I'm sure there are lol.

1" is way too thin for an outdoor table top. Those will cup within a very short time. And if the whole thing is cedar, you don't need pressure treated lumber. Right now I'm looking at the very first thing I ever made 5 years ago, a patio table that has been outside the entire time - 2x6's for the top (slatted just like you stated), 2x2 frame, 4x4 legs. All cedar, no PT pieces. And it's held up perfectly. I used BLO for the finish. Every couple years I just give the top a quick sand and re-coat. Chamfered the bottom of the legs, used those hammer in nylon feet to keep it off the concrete.
