Read the faq. TRS and TRS plus are just a difference in return policy. Both do not need to be “applied for” as someone here stated. It comes automatically on the 20th of the month if you qualified by the end of the previous month. And yes, worth it. Answer from Deleted User on reddit.com

r/Ebay on Reddit: I sell more when I’m NOT “Top Rated Seller” Here’s my theory:
December 4, 2023 -

Been on eBay since 1999. 100% positive feedback (one of my claims to fame in life 😂)

I only recently this year got my hands on some small products that I was selling at a good rate. Between the two small products I basically sold 1.5 every 2 days on avg.

Because of these new items I was selling at a rate to get TOP RATED SELLER last month. First time. I was pumped.

My damn sales DROPPED OFF A CLIFF! Like magic. POOF. They both stopped selling. Was so bizarre.

I lasted 1 month and fell out of “Top Rated Seller” because it wasn’t moving like it was before.

The day after I fell out of it, BOOM my sales have resumed as they were before! It’s crazy and weird.

My theory: eBay is giving my listings a push because I’m right on border of TOP RATED SELLER….they want to get me there. But once they do, they stop pushing my listings.

This is my theory and it’s only thing that makes any sense.

I have reached the status of a Top Rated Seller this year. This is my third time getting that achievement. I figured I would make this positive post since in my newsfeed it has a lot of negative post. Although I wish I have managed my money better. And used it to keep rolling over into purchasing new inventory, so I could sell more items. Instead I was just cashing out and going out to eat, lol.

I just received a return request 29 days after delivery saying the item was damaged (Vintage hat in perfect condition). I don’t mind offering returns but 30 day free returns is an absurdly long period of time. Not only that but it requires one day handling time on my end but eBay gives them way until June 2nd, nearly a month to return it. That’s nearly two full months after the purchase date.

I know returns are inevitable whether you accept them or not. Do you think abiding by all the Top Rated Seller requirements is worth it?

Question to Top Rated Sellers : r/Ebay
February 25, 2020 - Lots of times my items are the only one of its kind on eBay at the time. ... The 1 day handling and 30+ day returns are requirements for becoming Top Rated Plus. You just need to meet your seller metrics/performance standards requirements to keep Top Rated status.

r/Ebay on Reddit: Worth Becoming a Top Rated Plus Seller?
April 5, 2023 -

Hi! I sell new running shoes. I currently do not accept returns and I ship same day. I have recently become a "Top Rated" seller. I have the option to join the Top Rated Plus Seller program which means I'd get 10% off selling fees and potentially more views/sales. However, I'd have to accept returns for 30 days and I'd be responsible for paying for the return. I am not sure if it's worth the hassle.

My question is if it is worth it. For those that have become Top Rated Plus Sellers have you experienced more views/sales? Also, what are the return rates for new running shoes? Any other advice or things to know would be appreciated.

I'm a personal seller right now so get to take advantage of eBay's frequent sell for £1-type deals but I understand there are some benefits to becoming top rated so what do you guys think?

My seller performance makes me eligible.

I am currently a top rated seller plus. I have to offer free 30 day returns.

I have been experiencing many returns for: changed mind, INAD(when defects have been mentioned in the listing), doesn’t fit(collectibles sold as display item), arrived damaged(when there was no damage). Some of these returns left nasty negative feedback. All occurring in the last 4 months. I have had 6 in 4 months.

I have been a eBay seller for 27 years and have never had so many returns in a brief period of time.

I was considering changing my account to no returns accepted. Will that affect my visibility on eBay?

I’m eligible to be a top rated seller but I keep hearing that it’s bad and not worth it. What do you guys think?

r/eBaySellerAdvice on Reddit: EBay Top Rated Seller Discount
September 2, 2024 -

Hello all!

I’ve been on eBay for a year and a half. I reached Top rated quite a while back and was enjoying a 10% discount on final value fees.

Sadly a few months ago, I lost my top rated status. (Wasn’t using much nor posting)

Fast forward to this week, I’ve been posting and selling and I got an email says congrats ! You’ve reach top rated !

Amazing! I get my discount back again! No.

I’ve. Sold a couple items since and no discount. I spoke with support they didn’t seem to know what I was talking about and that I was crazy. But I know I got this before. It’s how I knew about it. And my email even says I get it.

Anybody confirm or deny this. I’m confused now. They told me I needed the plus seal. I’ve never had that before. So I don’t know

Thanks all!!
