The description for the app actually says it gives everyone “the freedom to buy and sell just about anything”, bit that just isn’t true when so many members are now unable to access the app. It actually means there will be members who have sales but can’t access the buyers’ details to send items out. This could lead to buyers unable to receive items they’ve paid for and consequently poor feedback for the sellers. ... It had become nearly impossible to use the iPhone and iPad for basic historical research of prices and markets on eBay. Thank goodness for the inventive wiz who wrote this app – it works splendid -- just make sure you select your countries eBay site to make sure you get relevant results.

February 5, 2025 - Buyers and sellers are scrambling this morning after automatic updates have left both the iOS and Android versions of the eBay app non-functional and unable to be updated on older devices. eBay's community forums for the US and UK have been flooded with complaints, indicating this is an issue for anyone with older devices which do not support the most recent versions of their respective operating systems, leaving them incompatible with the latest eBay app update.
