I had the chance to go on one of the typical touristy vault tours, I have always avoided the vaults because I thought it was a load of hot air ( pun unintended), and merely just another cash cow for the council and businesses.

So I went down there last week on a tour. The first vault we saw on our way in was some 'white witchcraft ' room with the pentagram and all their symbolism. Then we visited the 'burke and hare vault' and another vault where apparently satanic child sacrifices happened.

In the 'kill room', the 'white witches' according to the tour guide, had placed some big stones ( they were huge, it would take several men to lift one of them)in a circles to 'contain the spirits'. While in the room I felt quite light headed. I had purposely prepared before going down there, because I am deeply sceptical person and I don't want to any emotion or physiological response clouding my judgement down there.

I think there is simply a lack of oxygen there or the air may be unclean.

What's also disturbing is how conveniently placed some former building are near the vaults. You have a former masonic lodge, a former school, a church and a former hospital.

As for the 'burke and hare' story, the university basically enabled two serial killers because they paid money for 'fresh dead bodies'. I also don't buy the story that the govt at the time was too scared to send officials down into the vaults to police them because there were scared of catching diseases, they could have simply paid some of the peasants to police them.

Just as we have today, our govt turns a blind eye to certain criminality.

Anyways does anyone know any stories about the vaults, how big they are, how connected they are? why is it so hard to get basic maps? I mean c'mon this can't be that complicated given the technology we have today.
