What's normal is SaaS vendors trying to get out of running EDR or similar tech on servers. What you need to do then, is provide the threat scenario(s) you are most concerned about, and ask them how they deal with those threat scenarios. Then refine your questionnaire accordingly. Having managed technology infrastructure for several SaaS orgs over the years, we had internal struggles where various persons (usually in Dev), swore that EDR (or related technologies) would be an issue, without being able to articulate how/why. We were able to tailor the solutions to properly address the risks that we faced on the different classes of server infrastructure. Get them to elaborate -- under NDA if necessary -- how they handle the threats that would be most devastating relative to their platform design. More on reddit.com
