Need Help : 72x30 Standing Desk Options
Just yesterday I finally built my first standing desk: Deskhaus Apex Pro with a 72 x 36 x 1.5 stained Birch wood butcher’s block (post to come soon). Since there are not paper instructions yet for the Apex Pro, I watched the instructions videos from Deskhaus a few times as a reference. Overall it was a easy process. Cost wise, the desk was on sale for $875 and the wood was $400. That’s the price paid before any accessories (desk comes with a wire snake). For a frame, it cannot be beat! I am looking for various 72 x 30 standing desk options and want to get the best bang for the buck. I am not necessarily trying to show off or build the best desk possible. Although if the best desk possible is the most value that you can get for money, I can consider it.
Move60 or Move80 series : This is a good one. Although the color that I like in this one is "Natural Cherry" and its not available. Out of stock. On amazon other colors are selling for 770 while on wayfair, I can get it for ~640

2) Vari Reclaimed Wood Desk: I like the design top design of this desk and am willing to consider to pay $35 for that reclaimed wood finish. Although from the photographs its not clear if its a polished finished or rough. But the design overall looks good to me. Which color of base would you go with ? Black, grey or white ?

On amazon I am able to get this desk for $675.
3) Finer Desk: There is this another website selling customized desk with reclaimed wood finish. I like that. Although this one gets a bit more expensive. It starts at $731 for an equivalent desk as above. And then it provides all kinds of add on options such as power strip, cable management etc. So if I go this route, price just went up by $100 (compared to Move60).

4) Uplift2: Obviously this is the top of the line. And once again, if I go for that base configuration with reclaimed wood finish here, the price jumps to $1600. The finish definitely looks much better than the previous two. But to me, this is getting out of hand from cost standpoint.

Are there other websites that can give me better value for money for 72 x 30 standing desk. My minimum requirement is 72x30 and needs to have motorized control for a standing desk. For everything else, I need to find a sweet spot for what I spend.

Be sure to look at return policy, warranty, customer service, company longevity and reputation, etc. It’s not just the product. These aren’t typically user repairable, so unless you go cheap and plan to junk it if it breaks, you want the company to be around to help in the future if needed. I went with Uplift as I was most confident in the company, they had free returns (I didn’t want to be stuck with return shipping and/or a re-stocking fee if something didn’t work out), long warranty, a desk that fit my needs, the desktop type I wanted, I could easily reach their customer service, available matching accessories like file cabinets, etc. Plus look carefully at min & max heights, measuring your expected ergonomic needs. Some don’t go low enough for example.
