a couple things: the upgrades like the other comments said are the inputs and outputs configured properly? you have to have pipes and tubes set to push into the block as well as the fluid input configured properly

Ok, I'm discovering the mod for the first time and followed a tutorial, but for the part where we need a tube or conduit for gas to get out of the Electrolytic Separator (I want Oxygen in my Purification chamber), none of tubes connect to the machine, I even tried from the bottom, from the top, nothing, I then switched to EnderIO Gas Conduits, they seem to connect fine but do not output anything to anywhere, even to a basic gas tank, I even tried putting the basic gas tank directly next to the Electrolytic separator without any results of any kind, nothing wants to go out of there, there's no interface on the electrolytic separator to configure what goes in and out and where it should go either. Did I forget something. I'm using a customized version of FTB IE in Normal Mode.

Could it be that you didn't select proper output side in the Electrolytic separator? Also, Mekanism machines are so side sensitive, you might want to google which side by default is the output.

Ok, so the electrolytic separator only accepts fluids through the left and the right, the machine should have a square texture on either side. Mekanism 9 is bugged right now in you can't clear fluids so you would have to select sides appropriately. Additionally, the output is only available through the front.

I'm on velhelsia 2 and did everything right but no oxygen or nitrogen in filling up in the separator, it has power and is hooked up to an electric pump, does anyone know how to fix this bug or am I screwed.

boil it down. ignore other factors and start at the first level. does the UI have water and power in it? are the gas outputs connected to tubes which are not full and thus sucking all the gas out instantaneously? is it making noise and if you mouse over the energy thing in the UI, does it say it's consuming power?

February 22, 2014 - The problem is that once the separator internal tanks get emptied, it stops producing hydrogen and chlorine altogether, and both sides in GUI say "None". Once I disconnect pressurized tubes from the sides the internal tanks start filling again, but when reconnected, and internal tanks are emptied, it again stops working. p.s. Brine gets used either way, even if separator is not producing gasses.
