Difference Between Endpoint And Equivalence Point
October 19, 2022 - A point of equivalence in a titration refers to a point at which the added titrant is chemically equivalent to the sample analyte. On the other side, endpoint is a point where the solution changes colour.

In chemistry , an endpoint is the conclusion of a chemical reaction. In particular, in a titration, it is the point at which no further titrant should be added โ€” usually indicated by a colour change in an indicator or some other measurable change. [University Chem Lab] Endpoint vs Equivalence
For a well designed titration they are nearly identical with the endpoint occurring just after the equivalence. Realistically the volume between equivalence and endpoint can be nontrivial. To counter this a blank is performed. A blank is a titration performed typically on pure water (the blank choice is dependent on the type of titration performed). The volume of the blank is subtracted from the titration and this corrects for the difference between equivalence and endpoint (broadly speaking). This along with endpoint ambiguity tends to make titrations more meaningful within restricted concentration bands. More on reddit.com

What is the difference between the endpoint and equivalence point in titrations?
The main difference between equivalence and endpoint is that the equivalence point is a point where the chemical reaction comes to an end while the endpoint is the point where the colour change occurs in a system. The endpoint comes after the equivalence point whereas the equivalence point comes before the endpoint. More on reddit.com

What is end point in titration?
The end point in titration is when an indicator signals that enough reaction has been added to a solution to complete a reaction. This is indicated with a change in color or intensity.  Endpoint in titration is different from equivalence point in titration. When the total number of moles of two solutions becomes equal, it is called the equivalence point. Endpoint generally follows the equivalence. It refers to the point at which the indicator changes color or intensity, signaling the completion of the reaction.
