I am looking at getting a new Endpoint protection service for my company. I am currently looking at 3 options right now and wanted to get general opinions on them. What are your thoughts on ease of use, pricing, support and any gotchas I should know? We are looking at on premise solutions if possible.
1.) Checkpoint
2.) Vipre
3.) Eset
Eset seems to be the cheapest, but is missing vulnerability and patch management. Vipre has 3rd party patch management, but not Windows vulnerability management. Checkpoint seems to have all of it, but is expensive. Can everyone give me thoughts on experience using any of these products?
Endpoint protection is usually just that, patch management is a different product.
Not knowing your situation with Microsoft/365, have you considered Defender EDR/XDR?
If you’re already a 365 customer and/or use Intune/conditional access, Defender can be used alongside these.
How many clients? Domain/Azure joined or workgroup devices?
All Windows?
This is a topic that comes up a lot.
Hi,
I wanted to check with you what endpoint solution do you recommend? I have Mac and Windows machines, and mobile devices (Android, iOS). Some are suggesting tools like Crow.d.strike, other say Palo Alto Cortex XDR is also extensive but you any thoughts about this? Naturally, we want to stop ransomware and help increase the security posture of a device and the company. Features, like stopping a device after it is lost is fine. We don't want spying on employees.
