I had issues with the cyclic power cables until I removed the energy extraction cable. Using just the Energy cable without the extractor is working for me. The 'bundled cable' has also been useful. Answer from iasazo on reddit.com

Energy cable/ Energy extraction cable · Issue #788 · Lothrazar/Cyclic
April 26, 2018 - Describe problem (what you were doing / what happened): Immersive engineering charging station and capacitor. (what I found so far) is not accepting energy from the energy cable but will accept energy from the energy extraction cable. But things like the immersive coresampler will accept from both.

I have made everything as it should be but the cables wont take energy from extraction cables. Pls help

Edit. I'm not sure does it matter that i have like 7 mekanism advanced solar generators and 3 heat generators.

Cyclic power cables not pulling power from Immersive Multiblocks or inputting to Capacitors · Issue #2185 · DarkPacks/SevTech-Ages
May 2, 2018 - In creative, I tested IE Thermo gen and Kinetic gen with the cables inputting into Mekanism's energy cubes and they properly transferred power and was able to pull energy from IE Capacitors (LV, MV, and HV) using the Cyclic cables into an excavator. Cyclic cables should transmit RF between Immersive Engineering and Immersive Petroleum generators multiblocks and be able to input RF into capacitors. Wait for @PrinceOfAmber to address the issue and update Cyclic · Setup an IE Multiblock Power Gen or a creative capacitor · Place Cyclic power cables between the power source (power extraction cable optional) and an empty capacitor

r/feedthebeast on Reddit: [SF 4] Viable Power Transfer?
April 28, 2019 -

What are the power cable options in this pack that people are using?

  • Cyclic cables just straight stop working. So those are no good.

  • Mekanism cables are disabled for some silly reason.

  • There's no Ender I/O

  • Cannot attach flux points to everything (or can I?)

  • Thermal ducts are limited to about 5k rf/t unless you want to deal with needlessly convoluted recipes due to not having the fluid transfer machine thing. Trying to do everything with cryostabilized ducts feels like a nightmare.

  • Integrated Dynamics requires exporters on every device and does not allow more than one thing to interact with that face (making it a nightmare when dealing with mekanism) there also seems to be a power transfer limit well below the 4-5m rf/t that is expected at endgame.

  • Don't know how xnet power works, but imagine that would be a nightmare if you aren't already using xnet for handling items.

Any other reasonable alternatives?

Here's a bunch of different configurations of powering a Packager from two different batteries with two different cables.

Those instanced marked with a torch are the only ones that work.

  • Linking an energy extraction cable to the Packager: Works

  • Linking an energy cable to the Packager: Fails

  • Using a Fluxduct: Fails

  • Linking a battery to an energy cable: Works

So yeah, given all this bugged behaviour, how should I power my phalanx of Packagers other than using lots of energy extraction cables like in the rightmost case, or giving each packager its own intermediary battery with one energy extraction cable in between?

I'm still in the earlier stages of SF4, I have all the trees now but I'm only starting with building machines and RF power now to automate processing the tree output.

EDIT: Okay, I think I got my answer.

When I loaded up my test world I took the screenshot in all of the Packagers were fully loaded even though the majority wouldn't load by themselves at all. And the comments saying the Packagers are only pulling energy when they need it were right. I got confused by the fact that usually machines always pull energy as soon as they are connected, but not in this case. The Packagers would only fill up when energy was pushed into them by energy extraction cables which I misinterpreted. Thanks for all the help.

April 28, 2020 - Place energy extraction cable on it. Place two energy cable in a line from it. In theory it should only drain 64k*3 FE power units, the internal buffer of the three cables, but it drains the cube instead completely at random intervals.

May 3, 2021 - Describe problem (what you were doing; what happened; what should have happened): Energy cables cannot be changed to extract power using a Cable Wrench, making them practically useless. (Also, 1.12.2 versions allowed filters and customized extraction rates, but item/fluid cables can no longer do that.) Do Cyclic energy cables not work with Mekanism ...
September 8, 2023 - I wanted to try and use my wind generator to power more than one thing, so I made energy cables and the extraction cable. I was going to power the harvester and the auto-crafter (there is no energy cable hooked to the crafter right now). I tried this setup you see here as well as attaching one energy cable in between. It just does not transfer power even though you can see the cable has it. I lowered the output value on the cable, it does not matter. The generator works when it is directly next to the harvester (or any machine), but introducing a cable seems to break it.

r/feedthebeast on Reddit: Powah Cables Just Don't Work?
October 25, 2024 -

For the last half an hour to 40 minutes I've been switching the direction, looking up tutorials, and even visiting different threads on this subreddit just to figure out why these cables will not work at all. And I've got nothing. No one has answered this question, presumably because apparently I'm the only one stupid enough not to understand what I'm doing wrong.

From what I can tell, the cables are pointed the correct direction, the netherite generator is able to output from any direction, the battery is set to output to the top, and the netherite furnace is able to receive power when in direct contact with the generator. So why will the cables not work?

I don't understand. Everything is correct, the issue is purely that they are not sending or receiving power via the base Powah cables. I've had this issue before with these cables in other packs so I don't believe the pack itself is important. These cables make me so upset but they're the easiest to make. Please help

September 15, 2019 -

So I have chests connected to generators with item extraction cables and I find they stop drawing the items I'm using for fuel.

EX. I have a chest connected to my simple storage network, it is drawing rotten flesh and this part seems to work fine. The chest is also connected to an Upgradable culinary generator. The item extraction cable I'm using to feed the generator stops working at random, I have the cable set to white list rotten flesh.

Any ideas on what could be causing this? It is also happening with my combustion generators that are not connected to the network.
