I’ve been searching everywhere. LinkedIn, Indeed, Fiverr, Upwork, even those random job boards people mention and everything says “entry-level” but somehow still wants 2 years of experience and every skill under the sun. I’m not into UI/UX or video editing, just graphic design: logos, branding, posters, that kind of work. I’ve got a portfolio, I’ve done 1 freelance gig, but I keep hitting walls. My portofolio might not be the best sure, but i believe it is enough for an entry level position.
Are there actually any remote, entry-level, graphic design jobs out there? Or at least paid internships that don’t require a fancy degree or living in a specific country?
If anyone’s been in the same boat or has tips, I’d really appreciate it.

Great post i love to see. Totally feel you, most “entry level” listings are copy pasted and want a unicorn. Keep applying on LinkedIn and Indeed, but expect a lot of ghost jobs and recruiter spam. Cold email small studios and print shops with a tight, role-specific mini case study, that works better than blasting the same portfolio. Also, wfhalert is decent, it emails vetted remote roles and I’ve seen a few legit junior or assistant designer listings mixed in with admin and support stuff. Keep iterating your portfolio around one niche, like brand identity for cafes or indie apps, and rewrite your bullets to show outcomes, not just tools.

Hi everyone, I've never posted on reddit so bear with me, but I'm struggling a little bit. I am a recent graduate, I have a bachelors degree in Visual Arts Management and a minor in Digital Media. I just recently made the switch from working in art galleries to trying my hand at Graphic Design. I've probably applied for hundreds of Graphic Design jobs, Junior Graphic Design Jobs, Internships, and I haven't heard back from a single one. I mainly find the jobs on LinkedIn, but I also scour the websites of companies I am familiar with to see if they have job listings. I have also applied for some on Indeed and ZipRecruiter when I got desperate.
I have a few projects on my website to have something to show for a portfolio. There's only two projects on there, because I find it difficult to come up with a fake idea for a mockup or brand logo, etc. But for an entry level job how many do I really need? I am also trying to find my personal style as well.
Is my website tacky? Am I trying too hard or not enough? What is my issue! I have a lot of creativity I want to share, but it just doesn't seem like any one is biting.

It is definitely the lack of work that is causing you trouble. If you have an issue thinking about what to make as deliverables, PlasmicSteve has a great thread pinned to this sub about general portfolio advice that had some good ideas for projects and fake clients.

The job market is rough, competitive and oversaturated; i'm a recent design grad that has been struggling getting design work as well but these few pointers may help. To start off I feel like you have a good start on the organization, layout and general aesthetic although you are lacking projects. You say you focus on brand identity but also struggle with coming up with mock projects. https://dailylogochallenge.com/ is a website that emails you a logo prompt daily for 50 consecutive days. The prompts are generally vague but the fun part is you get to decide what to do with the prompt. For example one of the prompts is design a logo that involves fire. Take that minimal information and brainstorm a mock restaurant or bar and go with the theming. Also look into case studies while presenting your work. That is something I am going back on and refining on my portfolio as well. Best of luck!
